Another great Queen song written by Brian May. That bassline is a monster!!! I love this song.

Freddie Mercury was born September 5, 1946. The Montreal concert of Queen was 11/21/81. He died ten years later on 11/21/91 of AIDS.

Thank you for posting this reaction on the anniversary of Freddie’s passing.
What is also significant-in-a-way about THIS performance… This Montreal concert took place EXACTLY 10 years to-the-date before Fred’s passing:
    November 24, 1981 - November 24, 1991
(Question, though: Did you edit it or stop before the end? Just wondering because there was definitely something missing, inc. Roger & Brian's speaking part. Still appreciate the reaction, of course.)

John Deacon was an excellent bass player, it’s a great loss that he retired in 97. He was the secret weapon of the band, he didn’t write many songs, but they all are great. Pls, check out one of his great ballads called Spread Your Wings.

I still wish one day he would resurface with a renewed love for music. He was incredible!

Nobody sounded like Freddie. A rock god and an incredible showman as well as singer!

Please listen to the original, studio version of the song, It's So much better. Queen were in their element in the studio, they couldn't recreate the music on stage with all the vocal and guitar overdubs. Studio versions of songs are how bands want their music to be heard.
