This matchup is so insane. On one hand Bowser just lives forever and takes so much punishment even compared to Charizard, but on the other hand the combo of what Squirtle and Ivysaur bring to the table is horrible for him, Squirtle being a mini Mario that combos him harder and Ivysaur who definently has an easier time edgeguarding him compared to others. Bowser getting comboed to infinity and beyond isn't always the end of the world tho.
People are okay with heavies getting comboed to oblivion, which is easy, but complain as soon as heavies get a couple of easy kills in return. Also, Bowser's second bowsercide was avoidable.

In the bowser vs "combo character" matchup bowser effectively starts at 60% and dies at 140%, so it's perfectly fair for the opponents to start at 0% and die at 80%.
When Bowser uses his side B (Bowsercide), the player with the lower percent controls where it lands. It looked like Quidd might not have realized that.
Nah, I'm sure he did. You don't make grand finals of a smash tourney knowing Leon is playing and not know the basic mechanics of bowser. It's just tough to predict and use the directional input of browser's side-B to your advantage. Leon's the best at it for a reason.

Maybe. I do feel she adds nothing to this set and just says annoying and often wrong stuff. The other commentator wasn't great either. However, you can tell both of them are tired. Good on them both for keeping the energy up, I guess. I think consistently good commentators are pretty rare. It's a lot of matchups and constant concentration for hours. The bigger tourneys have multiple commentators which keeps them fresher, I'm not sure if this one did.
