Beautiful gut wrenching theme, hauntingly exposes Luke’s character arc. Lalo understood how to ring the soul out of a melody. Exemplary audio & visual work; the marriage transcends.👏🏻💔👏🏻💔
R.i.P. Dad, my dirt ain't in yer ditch no more. There are memories you savor, never to be forgotten. This movie will always be about my dad .. and rebellious boy .. Bla bla . I digress
One of my favorite films of all time. I related so much with Newman's character Cool Hand Luke as I too was a rebel against the establishment that started in Jr. High School and stayed with me for life. I've paid the price for being that way but here I am about to turn 60 years of age and am still a Rebel against "The Establishment".
"Dear boys, playing it cool, Luke." ... “We're in here digging and dying, he's out there living and flying”... “Luke and them broads and all that booze”... “A true vision of paradise itself with two of the angels right there. Frisking around with my boy.” That exchange always Makes me so happy. Such a beautiful ideal, even the smallest visual hope has its value. My favorite sequence of the film, up until the very end, the last image you witness.. so so astounding.
Thank you for sharing this beautiful and haunting music with us. Great composer, great film and of course the acting is about the best there is anywhere.
Not many people to look up to for youngsters anymore these days....maybe some day I'll have a son of my own, and I can tell all about that ole Luke smile:)
Movies like "Cool Hand Luke" shaped the '60s as much as any explicitly political events did. Lines like, "Have you got your mind right yet, Luke?" and "That don't make it right, Boss!" reverberate down the generations.
for years I just thought this monolog was made up for a Guns N Rose's song, and today I started watching this movie on TV and now I get it! It's good to be young (39) 🤣
Thank you for this! It's the closest I've come to getting what I want..the video close: the helo shot going down to the crossroad and the seg into the faux pic of Luke with the girls into the very final pixel of the eye. Choreographed that tops anything I've seen in my 65 years!
I'm really happy that you guys made this it's really helping me out here at rehab osteomyelitis an epididymis yeah something you know 44 years of age like I told the mayo Hopkins l it's just really hard you I even got IV injection user points on that that one the only graduate circumstances on any of this is my father was also a heroin user I hope I said that right as being a twin his brother was directing us nephews a little bit harder i choice of drugs probably crystaln survival in this world
"No *zz grab" "My boy Luke" "I'm skakin that bush boss" 😂 Great drama, likable characters(even though they're felons), many notable actors, great acting, good music. The raciest part of the movie was Joy Harmon washing the car. Sexiest car wash scene ever. They just don't make movies like this anymore.
That Luke smile. He was natural born world shaker
Timeless. A good story never gets dated .

Could listen to an extended version. Really extended. Takes you to another place

Haunting. I'll be whistling this tune until the day I shuffle off this mortal coil.
I think "haunting"describes it perfectly to be honest.
