    Loved this, great job! A whole heap of work in there...if you haven't done urban bases, you just don't know how much work it is! And you've done it really well!

      Thanks for the kind words! I really enjoyed working on this army. It was my first Bolt Action army that wasn’t Western European green bases so it was fun to do something different. Urban bases are very time consuming but can result in very characterful bases😊

    Impressive army Dan. For me the militia is the best unit of the army.

    Fantastic looking Soviet army for Bolt Action! A wide range of miniatures for the different lists in the order of battle. I need more vehicles in my Soviet army just have a BA-6 armored car and the T-34 tank. We could have a huge Bolt Action game facing of against some Germans
    Keep the hard work and have a great day

    Great work and actually great collection - I do my own Soviet right now ..`d love to mix black tree minis ect with warlord figures ( more options from UK of course) but since Brexit postage is killing my desire to buy - the only way for me is Amazon and not everything is there....

    Fantastic painting, it is a beautiful army. But panzerfausts? Not even the Germans had them at Stalingrad. Panzerfausts didn't appear until late 1943.

    • @danbuman8422
      @danbuman8422  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thank you. I had always though that as well but, as I play Bolt Action and they are allowed in the Stalingrad list, I added them to my army. I have seen some research indicating that they were actually around the Stalingrad area in August of 42 as a new weapon in its earliest form. Either way, I have them in my army and they could be used for later war lists as well. Thank you for your astute comment!!!

    • @Swindondruid2
      @Swindondruid2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@danbuman8422 Bolt Action army lists are very hit and miss historically. The Romanians are allowed panzerfausts in 1941 AND a Panther tank in 1941. But the Romanians are not allowed things they actually did have in 1941 - flame-throwers, armoured cars etc. But none of this takes away from the beautiful miniatures you have. The painting and basing are superb.

    What's the greenish khaki you used for their uniforms? It's the perfect color, usually I see them painted too brown! Please let me know before I start painting up my soviets!

    • @danbuman8422
      @danbuman8422  ปีที่แล้ว

      I primed in white. Base coated with Coat D Arms Tan Earth. Washed with Agrax Earthshade. Highlighted with Vallejo 70-882 Middlestone. I spent a lot of time experimenting to achieve the uniform color that I was looking for and am happy with the result. Hope that helps and good luck with your Soviets!
