Cyphers are fun, but I get where Rustage is coming from. They take a long time to make and can be stressfull getting everyone to adhere to a deadline. Plus while they get a tonne of views, the smaller artists that Rustage likes to feature dont get a lot of exposure afterwards (as in people dont go and check them out). Shao Dows been on so many cyphers which all have millions of views and hes got like 30k subs. Its more productive for rustage to put that time into original songs. He likely has thousands of people each day reccomending him cyphers for hundreds of anime for him to make. Speaking of Shao Dow, you really need to listen to his new track 'Cursey'. Its god tier, and the video is immaculate.
Honestly one of the big reasons that shao dow isn't growing that much is because he doesn't release videos consistently. I mean he probably has life and focuses on other things outside of youtube instead. But I can guarantee you that one of the main reasons the big players in the scene exploded, besides luck of course is that so many of them released a song every single week for over a year, (that's insane and I get why most people don't do that) and the bigger they already were the harder they snowball. I remember when most of these guys where sub 50k and it wasn't that long ago for some like divide for example who has 200k+ now

I know for a fact that Rustage is a multi millionare because of Nerdcore, unless he throws away money faster then most people can spend them of course. Well rustage releases every second week on Friday at the same time i isn’t that hard to keep up with his schedule I think daddyphaysnaps releases every week on Sunday at different times but he releases on his posts like a few days before and Dizzyeight also releases a comment on his TH-cam to tell you when a song is releasing it is very easy to keep up
You will enjoy Naruto SO MUCH more if you skip the filler. Just skip it FOR NOW. And go back to watch them after for the completionism. You’ll enjoy it so much more

Don’t get me wrong, I love cyphers, but to say that musically they’re in the same level as a regular track, I don’t think that’s the case. They are simple. Simple can be fun. Simple can be hype.

Anime cyphers are overrated quality wise but they are fun to listen to, they are basically a way for new or current artists to expand their reach into other peoples fans. As an artist it would feel restrictive only having a small pocket and never really get going so their own stuff will always be better as they really put their own stamp on it. Also for people like rustage he probably feels like he would help smaller artists better by having them as a feature with a bigger part on the song to show what they're about.
