Interviewer asked the same questions over and over in a different way. Literally wanted him to say he's depressed or something
honestly I don't understand why this guy is a head editor of a newspaper and has shows on talksport and Sky sports all he does is make basic points but says them in a slow monotone way in lieu of saying anything insightful

I love Toney. He's a great striker. Was gutted he did what he did. But he's served his punishment and I hope he comes back and lights up the league like he's capable of doing.

Brentford don’t deserve to be relegated. They are a top class team that has fallen to injuries this season. Hopefully they can remain in the Premier league this season and return to Europe contention in the next.

I think Toney is a Cantona type of character. He needs to be given special treatment, and he needs to feel loved by those around him, and he needs to feel like The Man. When he does, he feels comfortable, and he can go out and produce his best. That's why I think a move to an Arsenal or Chelsea wouldnt work, he won't find his place.

Just to show you that mainstream media is always up to creating a narrative and sticking with it .. if your interviewee is giving you a happy vibe, a good journalist will match it up.. This would have been a good comeback interview for Toney, showing resilience and hunger even more but they chose a sob story for him.. talk about feelings.. did the same for Deli Ali, it didn't help him one bit.

Very good player and I hope he gets back to his best before he got suspended. However, let's get few things on the record here... He knew exactly what he was doing when he was placing bets in Football when he knew he wasn't allowed to do so. He knew he would get banned because previous players got banned for placing bets. A lot of people will say that he served his time and should be allowed back to work normally. In football, this is a serious crime. In your day to day jobs, if someone did a serious crime, they would struggle to get a job because they have a criminal conviction. If someone in finance defrauded accounts/ people, they would never find a job in finance.
