I also did a report for Marilyn Manson one time. We had to read ours in class. I stood up in front of everyone and I said proudly "Marilyn Manson's my favorite singer because he makes people feel like you don't have to be a certain way." and the rest about was his views and my personal opinions about how smart he is lyrically and musically. And my teacher clapped and said *And I quote* "That's true. Marilyn Manson is very popular among kids because he shows them it's okay to be themselves"Unquot
i did a peice of school work on marliyn manson for music and ended up getin in loads of trouble and was refussed a mark because my ignorante muic teacher said how inaproprate it was and should have done some one main stream. But she told us do YOUR favorite singer/musician so i did and got in trouble. it was sooooo worth it to just to se the look on her face :) i love mm too much tho not to havedone it
While I won't exaggerate and say that this song saved my life, it made me feel less alone while I was going through a dark period in my life in which I often considered suicide. I felt like a nobody and that I was forever dirt. Therefore, this song is pretty special to me. But to tell you the truth, I didn't really get into Manson until I saw the interview in 'Bowling For Columbine' and I thought, 'Wow, this guy gets it.' He truly earned my respect that day.
I have love and hate feelings about Mr. Manson. I was (and still am) a catholic, and my first memory of him is the Antichrist Superstar Album. I felt like he was cocky and stupid. Then I suffered bullying when I was at middle school, and it was by the time Columbine happened. It just took one listen to The Nobodies for me to know what he meant with this song. And my perception about him changed dramatically. It is my "bullying anthem" and helps me to deal with my pain. It has been 20 years already, but it´s impossible to forget those days. But somehow I overcome all that and I won´t give up living my life.
@themuffinman1122 Well at the start, this song was composed for Columbine High School killers :) For that, I admire so much Marylin ! Instead of doing like everyone, critisizing the two teenagers, he tried to understand them. And even if they where some sort of monsters (specially Eric Harris who was a psychopath), Marylin, once again, stood up against conformism ! :D
Well Marlyn Manson did say in an interview "what he would say to the columbine shooters before they shot up the place"?..........."he simply said that "he would listen to them rather then outcast them like everybody else did at the time"........I know too what it feels lile to be in a depression with rage underneath so I can conferm, yes nobody listened to them....
This is as soundtrack to what hes got going okn at the momment thats foor sure MM is a GOD and true fans wont desert him. Alot of us across the globe ate still breathing bcoz of him ❤❤❤❤❤❤
My daughter wants me to play this at her funeral, She is a somebody, I wish she knew that, I've always told her she's beautiful she's someone special ☹️ why can't she hear me😢
This song rocks hardcore fuckin balls, and it's THE sickest Entrance Theme that leads the trio of Decay to the 6 sided ring every week on Impact Wrestling. Crazzzy Steve looks more badass as an evil clown in my opinion.😊
@chucky666jack666 i actually did something similar. i wrote a persuasive essay and a few other essays on why he should come to our school or the meanings behind a few of his songs. Needless to say everyone else thought i was the freak when they were writing essays on the true meaning of rap songs. lol
@chucky666jack666 Thanks ^^ Wow, writing a report about it in class, what a good idea :D. Yeah, sometimes, I just wonder if it's me who is a freak, or if it's the people around me...
I know I'm late to the party but if it is based on the Collinbine thing 😞, then y in the music video is about kids trying to escape a ward? Just wondering

We're dead and know just who we are.
this song for some reason fits the columbine shooting really well, if you listen to the lyrics it feels like marilyin manson was singing about it
eerniizz Thats because he was. And I'd wager you knew that already and are just trying to look smart.
+Osterreicher I'll wager you said the word "wager" to sound smart.
sploodbug2 Id wager you cant stand the fact that some people like the word wager
Osterreicher id wager you guys have nothing better to do
