In this economics-special episode, we welcome Dr. Raghuram Rajan. He is the former governor of the Reserve Bank Of India and an Indian Economist. Between 2003 and 2006 he was Chief Economist and director of research at the International Monetary Fund.
In this episode, we will talk about the basics of economics and break down the positives and negatives of the Indian Economy. We will talk about the role of the RBI governor and how he works towards the betterment of the country. We will also talk about the negatives of demonetization, the Indian education system, and employment in India. He also talks about how we can improve the employment of our country by simply improving the education system.

We are nothing in R&D, indians do masters or PHD in any subject just to get a job not to innovate. We always hear this university has created new material, this team at this college found a better way to do something but our students don't.
One of them is Raghuram Rajan!
Plenty of Indians innovate and make fundamental contribution to basic science and tech. It just so happens that they do it mostly outside India working for western universities and companies.

It was lol, research budget for colleges was over 70 billion during UPA. BJP came and cut it down because they needed money for infrastructure.

This guy lives in intelectuals worlds..speaks of patents and what not..the average person doesnt have so much of intelect..nor giving them best online education will change this..just because best educational content is available on youtube still people dont learn..
90% of people will be working in non intelectual based work..which will need manufacturing and other crude jobs..

He is talking about Indian Education and pointing out the faults...let us tell him...NASA, MICROSOFT, GOOGLE, ETC ETC all are full of Indians...and surviving on Indians

But we still can't create one company that can become like these giants. We can only remake already successful things and not innovate.
it companies are "surviving" on indians because they make us work for macdonalds money. Both sathya and sundhar got there because of their managerial ability not their engineering skills. And the indians who work in nasa are the ones who are born in US and who have gone through US education. Because there are tighter security clearance for anyone working with rocket science. Lastly watch classes that are taken in MIT/ Harvard and then watch IIT lectures, IIT lectures are not that different from school teachers spoon feeding the stuff that's gonna come for exam. Where as the US education actually ask people to think about topic and in almost every class they actually give students scenarios where they have use their learned knowledge on real world problems or they have to make projects(mini ones) to test their real world problem solving skills. . We are training kids to pass exams and to get jobs abroad. The only thing even IITs can brag about is how many students are working abroad(compared to the total population of iitan passouts it's fractional) .AND THAT'S COMING FROM A UNIVERSITY WE BUILD TO BE OUR OXFORD OUR HARVARD OR OUR MIT, WHERE INVENTIONS AND BREAKTHROUGHS ARE MADE. THE ONLY ONES IN INDIA WHO ARE ACTUALLY MAKING ANY PROGRESS ARE AGENCIES LIKE ISRO

The interviewer is not good enough to have a conversation with Mr.Rajan
People are not ready to listen to him because we all know what happened during his period. And the chip manufacturing he is talking about is not a good example. If the new manufacturer comes here, more people learn it, naturally reverse engineer and more such businesses and startups blooms.
In the world of economics, even the best report cards need erasers.
People stop following modi so blindly 😅 that u cant handle criticism, no govt is perfect, if u support modi doesnt mean everything he is doing is right and if u want him to do things right, criticize him, supporting a party only helps a party grow but criticizing it helps the country grow😁
This fellow will be proved wrong again like how PC has been proved wrong regarding Digital infrastructure. The fellow also does not conveniently talk about the downside of the reservation system we have in the country.

people who have been unconsiously been matured in their immeditate society and are in a flow and also have subjective complex deep observation and individualistic fantasy creation (creativeity, ideas, vision, fiction etc) and bringing ur will into reality (creation, doing something, becoming someone etc) and having long term stamina, will to keep going, handle any challenges and win. So for the very young age our people should be exxpose to and encourage to observe, create their own thinking ideas, but also influence them from outside by painting images to motivate them and make them fall in love with any subject, creation, doing and becoming someone great, and should create original words in their own language
Mr Raghuram Rajan, you are welcome to build whatever you want in wherever you want in China, not in India. But how many companies have you created and millions you have employed. The talks by the so called intellects, are as always, useless. Let all these economist make money in stock market easily, all will go broke easily too.
