I think that's perfect. I'll be making good use of that in the future. Not only good bedding but it'll be precharged soldier fly food when it's time to change it out. Win, win.
Thank you for mentioning it's available at Tractor Supply. We raised 30 chicks in our house last february, used a trough and pine shaving, and a frame with hardware cloth. The frame "topper" was to keep the cats out, and previously turkey poults in. The dust was terrible, and coated all the plants. We always have several bouts of severe weather, so inside was the only option. Besides a heat lamp, we had a heater blowing on the metal trough for a week. I like the "heat plate" option. It was worth the extra cleaning, as we started getting eggs before 5 months. Possibly from the new breeds "Whitings True Blue" and "Green" (Murray McMurray Hatchery).
Hi, Thank You for sharing your video! I really enjoy using this product! The coffee grounds keep the ammonia and all the bad odors out. I use the coffee grounds, for the chicken coop and the chicks run. It’s unfortunate that the Tractor Supplies store at my location stopped supplying this product, so I started requesting the recycled free coffee grounds from my local coffee shop in my town. I run almost the same process to recycle the coffee grounds and make them safe for my chickens bedding . It’s a process and time consuming but it’s free. I love this new method of poultry bedding!

Yeah I like it a lot more. Much cleaner. Go with the heat plate as well. Thanks for watching.

Yeah. It sucks. My tractor supply can't get enough in ans everyone keeps buying them up before I can get any.
I think this is my new favorite channel.
Don't forget to like and subscribe. 😁
Thanks for the review! Very straight forward! I'll be using this for sure.
Thanks for watching!
Rural King has now stopped carrying the coffee ground bedding
Tractor Supply says they don’t carry it.
Any idea on where a person might get it ?
I saw some at Rural King 3 weeks ago.
Do you give chicks special grit or just sand..?
Chick Grit.
How do they get the caffeine out??
Very carefully I suspect. I'm sure you can look the product up and call them. I'm sure they love answering that question.
What's the advantage of it?
Smells better, stays cleaner.
I can’t find that here, our tractor supply does not carry it🥲
You just have to go up to someone and ask them to order it for you.
@@NicholsCounty thanks! They didn’t offer and I didn’t know! Now I do!
@@NicholsCounty nope, they said they can’t get it any more from Northern California to Bakersfield!
Neither does mine, Wondering if I can just get my own from Starbucks and dry them out.
@@purplemoon918 they said it can’t be caffeinated! I wonder the same thing!
Can you make your own
I'm sure you can. I don't drink enough coffee.
