In the same way, if the median is greater than average then more number of students have been placed more than the average. this later is not the case usually. Very few students from top branches are able to secure packages more than 20 or25lpa. As a matter of fact many top nits have average packages more than 10lpa but around 5 have medians above 10lpa!
