The Gestapo/SS would have routinely stripped a young woman, suspected of being a member of the Resistance or a SOE agent, completely naked, to increase her sense of vunerability as a preliminary to interrogation/torture. Likewise, when Sophie Marceau's character is water-tortured, her head continually plunged beneath the water of a bathtub, she would not have merely had her dress off. Any well-trained interrogateor would have had her stripped of all her underwear and tortured her totally naked.
