I'm 52, and this music speaks to me. Just goes to show how these blokes have tapped into a spring of universal experience. They speak for young and old(er), the struggle of being a part of the ignored working classes in Britain is the same for everyone. They look like us, they speak like us and they feel the same anger as us. Because they are us.
A few years ago I didn’t even really like post punk here I am vibing to this makes my day I’m a fan of ya sleaford mods and the sex pistols and that stuff Thanks
ha ha i worked in Keymarkets in Grantham the 70's when i was a teenager, it was like being in a carry on film. never thought i'd see an album with that name, fuck me!
+Peter Nolan Smith I'm a bit of a geek re their influences, who they're looping, beats they're jumping on, etc. Much easier with their earlier stuff. Anyhow, yes, well spotted mate.
Sorry man, but the bassline is quite different. only the first few notes are the same, also it's different rhythmwise. You could say they are similar but definitely not the same.
Still a solid track, one of the best of the last decade I dare say. These guys are so real, and Jason's voice is perfect for this grungy punk-hip hop style. Anyway, time to shut me lid...
I guess the heart means they saw the comment. Good! Cos it's exactly what I'd say to the lads if ever I bumped into em anyway. Keep it up chaps, you got a good thing goin!
S/M just get better & better... there's not a single song from the whole back catalogue that hasn't grown on me if I didn't like it first time round :-)
Nicely made vid this is. Such a crisp look and feel to it, and it really captures their vibe. Spot on tune from a spot on album... 'You fall fast and avoid the pain/only to remember that you still remain/still remain/still remain/still remain...' If there's a more relevant, interesting and engaging band out there, can someone please tell me who they are.
Same here. :-) Going to check out some of their other stuff because this one reminds me to much of A Canadian Band, _The Guess Who._ When you listen to this, hear American Woman in the back of your mind. Almost a clear rip-off.
ᙅYᙖᙓᖇ ᗪOᙅ™ Nope I don't hear The Guess Who. I have to disagree. Although I've only been listening and performing music for almost 40 years so maybe I'm out of the loop. I think they're a unique band with something to say. Best regards.
I came to cheer You up, take from what I said that suits You, and don't count bad things I said that apply to You, we did it all the time up until now, why not keep it this way, I think it's good idea
Just do it. Nike please send me money, it is easy to contact me, really, anyone could do it any time and nobody does so I have peace, isn't it hilarious?
I hear the lack of Sleaford Mods footage at the QAwards is cause the Gallagher bros took some unresponded liberties on Mr. Williamson . Not trying to stir any shit up or anything ,just curious, too many rumours regarding this circling about.
Forcing kids to be creative kills creativity who would have thought, for me the most important advice I have heard all my life is give Your kids 3 hours of daydreaming daily
what?? you got loads of amazing music in US . Hip-Hop ,punk, techno everything originated there .American black community invented everything thats amazing tbh .Go dig some crates .
So much great music comes from the US. But expressing the crapness of modern life in a harsh, unsentimental way: that's something that UK culture has often done better. Which is why many Americans get frustrated with their own culture, and turn to music and screen culture from across the pond for something that resonates in a different way. Not better in every way, just...different. I admire a great deal about American music and screen, but I feel you don't see as much social realism, that total honesty. There is often a veneer of grunginess, but still plenty of glamor. Too much polish, even when an artist is trying to tell the truth the way they see it. Even when American shows try to be brutal and harsh, they still look too good, too stylish. Still love a lot of American culture though. TLDR: many people, including many Americans are a bit afraid to look at things as they really are, so they consume stuff that doesn't go all the way.

@@porterhall27I agree, but then if the comment alerts someone to Dr Clarke it's probably a good thing.
I've not heard a beat like this since Frank Klepaki did the soundtrack for Red Alert 2, I fuckin' love it.
