This is an excellent summary of the things that make Irvine so wonderful. For me, one thing I really loved, which this video alluded to, is the great number of running and biking paths through the city and to its neighboring cities like Newport Beach. You can run for miles and miles just on the bike paths alone, which I've done so many times. And if you have to run on streets, just about every street in Irvine, right down to the residential ones, have wide dedicated bike lanes that runners use also. Irvine is such a great place to live.
Thank you so much for checking out the video! You're right...I have no idea how far the trails (especially the one between Jeffrey and Culver that runs through the neighborhoods) as they are quite long. We are definitely spoiled!
I lived in Irvine for 4-5 years then left to Fullerton/Brea for 2 years now I’m headed back. Irvine is unrivaled it’s worth every penny. You can do so much and it’s so nice! Good for families , active lifestyle and shopping and dinning.
Proud resident of Irvine California:). Wife and I moved to Irvine about four years ago from Glendale California and we consider ourselves extremely lucky.
Irvine is a city built for family. My family loves it here. Only con is the cost to live here. That new build house at 3:17, its listed at 1.55M now! I'm glad I purchased in July 2021 because I would be priced out of Irvine in 2022.
I lived at Irvine for most of my life and then moved to Newport Beach and both are nice areas but I prefer Irvine. Newport Beach has gotten really crowded whereas Irvine just has that nice feel to it. Definitely worth investing your money at Irvine.
born & raised in LA. just moved to texas about a year ago. its cheap but cheap doesnt mean better. thinking of moving back to CA . either Irvine or San Diego!
Man I’m born and raised in Cali and have been living on and off in Texas primarily for 12 years. Basically my whole adulthood. I would travel to Cali twice a year and stay for 1-2 months during college breaks. But I’ve been here full time since right before the pandemic and I realize how much of a mental toll it’s taken on me. I have a great community here and things are looking up, but I feel a void in my heart from Cali. I never planned to never live independently in Cali as an adult. So I’m wondering if I should do grad school there to at least get it out my system and enjoy it while I’m still relatively young. Then move back to Texas when I’m done with my PhD. I never considered Irvine until literally today lol. I’m from LA.
The beach sea the event at market look very nice Other big deal with the city are high tech jobs,,, I like your city in detail to explain in the video!!
Great park is as of now is pretty much only good for the sports fields and some events. It’s been a boondoggle of a project. Irvine Regional park is a much more activities and nature to offer. Other big deal with the city are high tech jobs. Medical, Video Game and tech are huge industries here.
I fell in love with CA last Summer when we drove the PCH from San Francisco to Santa Monica. My wife and I plan on moving there in a few years but are unsure about taking the plunge. Do you have any advice?
That's a beautiful drive. I recommend anything outside of major cities such as LA and SF. Orange County is my personal favorite because of its diversity and how clean and safe it is. Plus, you're close to LA and SD if you should need to go there. As far as NorCal, I can't speak to it as much, but definitely stay in the suburbs if you can. Best of luck!
I agree with most but the white sandy beaches. That would be Florida. Pensacola Beach to be exact, it’s so white it’s blinding and the golf of Mexico water is warm and clear :) other than that Cali wins!
Mostly foreigners. The kids come for UCI. The parents buy a condo for their little pharmacist to stay. Then, one by one the whole Chinese family comes. They are pushy and cheap. At the 24 hour fitness a Chinese man brought his one cup coffee maker to the bathroom to make a coffee so he did not have to buy one. A friend of mine works in a hotel in Irvine and has the grossest stories about them staying there.
All your drive times are off by 100%. Expect twice the drive time. It doesn’t have the drugs, homelessness, and crime as LA but it’s boring Imo. If you want to raise a family and you’re rich, it’s a fine place.
Irvine, great place. The old Edwards 21 Megaplex was so beautiful. The new one, Regal, I don't like it at all. My first IMAX experience, 1997. Greetings from Parma, Italy.
Please take this video down. I just graduated from UCI and got a job in LA but I hope to return to Irvine to raise a family. I do not need more people finding out about how great Irvine is and raising the housing prices 😂

Super nice job! What a great yet concise summary! Love your enthusiastic but calm delivery. You are a master, Josh! Thank you for educating me!

Welcome to Irvine. I have been here since 2003.
Great video, California is my dream location.

Great video! I love helping people move to our beautiful community!

Our house was sold in 2016 for 700K. Now worth 1.2. Definitely incredible gains!
I would love to visit there.
2024 update - this house is worth 1.85 to 2M now. Crazy!
Irvine, is a beautiful calming place. It's so beautiful there. I might move there after college.
Idk
You should!

Really you like Irvine better than Newport Beach?
I can see that. Really all of OC at this point is crowded. You need to move to Blythe if you want to stretch out at this point.
I've been wanting to move there for years now. I hope my dream comes true soon!
Same… I live in Texas and I want to move there.
Me too
Thanks for the amazing video! That's perfect one!
So nice! Thank you!
Great Area!! Parks, close to nice beachs...fantastic!!
Yes! There's a reason it's a top city in America.
Good video I like your transparency
Wow ❤,,, it's a great information for me as I come to this city soon 😊 👌🏻love from Sylhet Bangladesh🇧🇩
Hope you can make it!
Thanks for your kindly explanation

Couldn't agree more. In fact, anything from around Dana Point to Del Mar are sleepy beach towns that I could also work with!

True! The beaches in Florida remain undefeated. Even Hawaii's sand can't compete.
What about Irvine Scotland
I love Scotland. Especially the golf!
Grew up in OC, Irvine is ok, rather live in Fountain Valley, Orange, Garden Grove!

Hi, I'm planning to go to language school and community college in Irvine. How's the law and order here?
It's considered the safest city in America by some survey's

Lol! Great point. However, I think it's too late ;)
Irvine is now overcrowded. People here, people there, people everywhere.
Yeah like most places nowadays. It'd be nice to have an Irvine but take it and move it to the middle of nowhere lol
Lived here for 2 years. Very nice safe city but people are prejudice if you're black, so I left
I'm so sorry to hear that! I hope you don't have to experience that where you are now. All the best to you.

I grew up in rural Indiana so it's quite different for me here. But I really enjoy the diversity of thought and cultures.
Such a beautiful place, but overbuilt, overpopulation, traffic jams unfortunately.
Definitely in places it can be. But in the residential/commercial areas in Irvine, it's pretty light (compared to LA).
@@lifeisfairshow
Compared to LA, any place can be a heaven. Lol
Shitty neighbors in Irvine that tend to call the cops on you for anything
Dang that stinks. Fortunately, I have not had that issue with mine. However, in Huntington Beach, I did have bad neighbors twice.
