ABOUT THE SPEAKER -
Nouman is the founder and CEO of Bayyinah, as well as the lead instructor for a number of Bayyinah courses including the 'Fundamentals of Classical Arabic' and 'Divine Speech'. His first exposure to Arabic study was in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia where he completed his elementary education. He continued Arabic grammar study in Pakistan, where he received a scholarship for ranking among the top 10 scores in the national Arabic studies board examinations in 1993. But his serious training in Arabic began in the United States in 1999 under Dr. Abdus-Samie, founder and formal principal of Quran College, Faisalabad, Pakistan who happened to be touring the US for intensive lectures in Tafsir and Arabic studies. Under Dr. Abdus-Samie, Nouman developed a keen methodical understanding of Arabic grammar. He further benefited from Dr. Abdus-Samie by internalizing his unique teaching methods and later translating his work into English for the benefit of his own students. Nouman served as professor of Arabic at Nassau Community College until '06 and has taught Modern Standard and Classical Arabic at various venues for nearly 7 years with over 10,000 students nationwide. Currently he has dedicated himself to a seven-year-long project, of conducting a linguistic & literary focus Qur'anic Tafseer series in English. ?? I dont understand why these are miracle, it’s just usage of words in a language, it’s not even any special linguistik stuff. Each language has it’s own grammar / words to describe an item more meaningfully based on the context. Arabic can’t be fully translated into chinese, likewise chinese can’t be fully Translate into Arabic, each of them have their own words which word of exactly same meaning can’t be found in another language.
My Muslims friend shared this video with me and I thought it’s going to be miracle of something like God healed a blind person or something … meh… dissapointing.

I have studied QUR'AN from a Science perspective.. but, Wen I tried to expand my knowledge to the world of Mathematics den bringing up the teachings of ALLAH from the Qur'an made me more astonish give me a lot of goosebumps and tears Subhanallah and was able to see the Miracles of ALLAH IN different perspective different side of the world different Lens that brings my imagination more to discover and Fly through the wonders of the Qur'an and of course by adding the Language perspective is much more another kind of mind-boggling characteristic of this Miraculous Book that moves my Heart and Mind in different angle and direction. Whoever underestimate the Quran is unaware what it really is. It's like an ignorant who doesn't appreciate the beauty behind the laws of cosmos or even the beauty of how planets look or work.
After all both the Quran and the cosmos are called ayat (signs) of Allah that leads one to believe and appreciate God.

Here the full correct translation of Quran 24:33. Allah is talking about being merciful to those who are forced into prostitution.
What is wrong with it ?
"And let the ones who do not find (the means) to wed keep abstaining until Allah enriches them of His Grace. And the ones your right hands possess who seek the Book, (Contract of emancipation) then contract with them (accordingly), in case you know that they are in charitable circumstances. And bring them of the wealth of Allah that He has brought you. And do not compel your handmaids to prostitution, in case they are willing to be chaste, (Literally: to be in wedlock) that you may inequitably seek the advantages of the present life; (Literally: the lowly life, i.e., the life of this world) and whoever compels them, then surely Allah, even after their being compelled, is Ever-Forgiving, Ever-Merciful."

Whomever underestimate the Quran is unaware what it really is. It's like an ignorant who doesn't appreciate the beauty behind the laws of cosmos or even the beauty of how planets look or work.
After all both the Quran and the cosmos are called ayat (signs) of Allah that leads one to believe and appreciate God.
It's about the consistency of usage of such terms in a book that was read to people, in various settings (commenting on current events) , in a spur-of-the-moment way, throughout 23 years. It wasn't revised. It wasn't written down or planned out before hand. I am sure even a native speaker makes mistakes here and there in such circumstances.
One more thing is that the prophet peace be upon him had three different styles of speech. A person talks in their normal every day life in certain way and probably professionally lectures in a different way of speech, using different style, words and tone of voice. The two styles of speech might spill into each others and you will see them mixing together with time. The prophet peace be upon him was known to be the most articulate of his time and very knowledgeable of the language. He had not two but three kinds of speeches. The every day life normal speech, the hadeeth (a paragraphs of prophetic wisdom), and the Quran. Each one of them has a different style, word usage and tone of voice. They were all consistent and unique in their own ways. Although the unbelieving arabs were masters of the language and valued their regular competitions of speech immensely, they were mesmerised with the Quran and thought it was some sort of magic. They never heard anyone speaking that way, using such words and style. Especially that Muhammad himself never spoke like that for 40 years before becoming a prophet.

Mashallaah these examples are perfectly stated, i see that it is surely better understood in the arabic interpretation rather than english because its reciting is waaay more affecting and way more meaninful than its english translation . In the mean time i would like to say that non arabic speaking muslims are encouraged to learn basic arabic to get to feel better the beauty of the coran and get more spirituality while doing prayers.
One thing i would like to refer to is about one of your ways of speech, sometimes you don't need to apply human metaphores on All'aah, it is not conveniant in some cases.

Lol...we had a similar issue with one of our professors. His handwriting was so bad that everyone struggled to understand his notes, assignments, handouts. It was made more difficult by the fact that it wasn't just English but loads of maths mixed with English.
So we spoke to another lecturer and explained that someone needs to talk to him about his handwriting. That lecturer said we can't go and tell him that, he is one of the senior guys in the whole department! 😆😆 😆

?? I dont understand why these are miracle, it’s just usage of words in a language, it’s not even any special linguistik stuff. Each language has it’s own grammar / words to describe an item more meaningfully based on the context. Arabic can’t be fully translated into chinese, likewise chinese can’t be fully Translate into Arabic, each of them have their own words which word of exactly same meaning can’t be found in another language.
My Muslims friend shared this video with me and I thought it’s going to be miracle of something like God healed a blind person or something … meh… dissapointing.
