  • Jigs Star | Jigging Rod and Jigging Terminal Tackle Review
In this video I talk to the Jig Star USA rep Adam about the the next class of jigging rods. We run through the Twited Sister, Ninja, and Battle Royall jigging rods. Also we dig into some really cool inovative terminal tackle for jigging.
    From Jig Star USA
Jig Star USA is built to go big, “Go DEEP”, or go home! We believe in chasing monster fish on super light, yet super strong tackle, purpose built for one reason - “Fill the Box”. We started fishing Jig Star products years ago and where all other manufacturers fall short Jig Star consistently delivers every trip. Whether you’re chasing Giant Tuna, Yellowtail, Trevally, or Swordfish (Yes Swordfish) Jig Star has a setup for you. Jig Star has been developed and perfected through passion and is like no other company on the market. Each rod has been specifically designed for target fisheries and different styles of jigging.

Love Jigstar! I've slayed some monster Yellowtails with my Twisted Sister, it really does perform in a way that other brand's rods can't. It's my second favorite after that sweet Johnny Jigs one I picked up at the shop a few months ago.

Great info video on Jigstar products! As a beginner amassing an SPJ arsenal, the versatility of the Jigstar rods is a big help in justifying the considerable expense of SPJ gear! The terminal tackle is really innovative and well thought out. Props on a great partnership with Jigstar to get this gear in the U.S.!

JigStar Ninga, ultralight… 70# tuna 🤣. That is sick. Cool video! Can’t wait to see the Jonny Jigs team put them to the test.

Legends boys nice job! It will be fun to see you smash it over there with the Jigstar sticks and see what monsters you will pull up! I will keep bending monsters on Jigstar sticks to my last day because it's that good!

Those rods work - I picked up the last Phenix Titan at my tackle store - most places are sold out - a few techniques you need to understand - when you fight the fish you point the rod at the fish and wind - not like the typical style - also need to overcompensate the rod/reel by using heavy fluro to braid - and long leader - no heavy hardware like big swivels etc.
You guys should do a “how to high- speed” jigging video - the technique is half as important as the set-up - I have seen this up close in-person in San Diego fleet.

California party boat guys should keep in mind your going to need a longer rod to maneuver around other anglers.

In my experience, not necessarily the case… I picked up a Temple Reef X12B which I think is about 5 ft 3in, and was able to get around other anglers perfectly fine. The only issue was going up to the bow and around the anchor line. Often times I just free spool with my thumb on the spool to keep tension and once I get around, put my reel in gear and continue the fight.

We fish rail rods out here in Southern California. No one is stand up fighting a 200+ pound tuna with that rod in a belt

I am a US Army veteran currently residing in the Philippines. I have been watching many videos on assist hooks, and I am curious why there are no videos on Fastpitch double assist hook setups. From what I have seen here by the anglers, they use on top & bottom double assist hook setup (slow pitch) on fat and skinny Torpedoes and Flaties lures. When I ask about the correct procedure, it is a Secret. So I am asking you about the proper process on Fastpitch double assist hook setups (if any). Can you do a short video on Fastpitch assist hooks, single and double? Thank

How do these rods compare to rods like the Ghost Hunter Advantage? Which one would you pair with an Ocea Jigger 4000 for BFT in Southern California?
