Hey! I’m glad you didn’t take Kane’s tweet personally, and you’ve been respectful. It’s insane how much Theft spiraled, but I’m glad to see some content creators that are professional and understand criticism and patience.
It's hilarious watching him trying to humblebrag about fame, but also act small enough to be the victim. Like he was trying to point out that even though Johnny Blox gets less views he's an older channel and therefore "punching down" (wild logic), and he said "Look cause even though his videos don't get that many views and mine get a lo- get slightly more views doesn't mean anything". Even in his attempt to play the victim he could barely hold back bragging how many views his clickbait gets.
So let me get this straight. Theft got upset a few of Kane's fans "went after him" and retaliates by sending his community after Kane. The logic behind this man is incredible.
@@dani.2479 dude this controversy is about fucking five nights at freddys fan games why are you trying to make it about some sort of deep political issues

Also it was such a weird comment anyway. "Hey, check out this tweet" "Oh my god fuck I can't fucking believe the position you put me in fuck you" Meanwhile he's literally DEMANDING people to publicly apologize on twitter. Who's putting who in unfair positions?
@@Winasaurusso fucking funny i swear just the tonal dissonance between "hey check out this tweet" "WHAT YOU JUST DID IS FUCKED UP AW FUCK I CAN'T BELIEVE YOU'VE DONE THIS"
It wasn’t fake crying it’s because he’s a sensitive guy who has the mind of a teen, tbh I enjoy his videos and effort but I dislike the fact that he has such a kid mentality in his 30’s
Kane and Theft are like Yin and Yang -Kane acts immature on the outside, but is deeply mature and wise on the inside -Theft acts wise and mature, but is a whiny toddler at heart
“I’m trying to resolve this privately!” Literally talks about the situation on a stream in front of hundreds of people. This really sucks, I really enjoyed Theft’s content, he posted a lot so I always felt updated and informed about what was happening in the community. I’m really disappointed in him.
Not to mention that he demanded from him to basically make a public apology. Welp Theft King really did this to himself, now it's up to him to make it right or insist on being the victim and going down with his sinking ship
Theft King: "You take everything so PERSONAL. It's not all about YOU." Also Theft King: [proceeds to take everything so personal and make it all about HIM]
I’m 13, yet I can handle criticism than this man in his 30s, this man cries over fricking rick rolls and jokes, actually embarrassing, how was this man even raised?
I thought theft king was like 15, 16 maybe 17 years old, (a little younger than me) and that he was just handling a small drama situation incredibly poorly due to inexperience and teenage emotions. I now know that he is in his mid thirties and making sensationalized news videos about what is essentially fan-made video games about robot animals for children. Thank you for staying calm and levelheaded through all of this, and helping people see the truth in this completely asinine debacle.
I think (and I have heard other people also say) that his sudden rise to fame in the fnaf community did not make him ready for so much criticism. I could be wrong but I still do think theft is a good guy.
“If you swing at the king, don’t miss” “Who does this fucking guy think he is?!” -Both quotes from Theft King, about 2 seconds apart from each other. Yeesh.
"Harassment" "Assault" and "Bigotry" are all very very diluted from where they were 10 years ago. Harassment back then was essentially directly threatening people. Harassment now is sitting next to someone who didn't ask you to explicitly.
@@Winasaurus nah, people have been calling innocuous or minor things "harassment" in that exact fashion for well over 20 years, probably near 30 ten years ago was 2013, not 2003. it's always been a denigrated word, even pre-internet, there was never a paradigm shift, you just became more aware of it being overused after you first noticed it, there's a word for it but i forgor the act of growing up often has several things, words, etc. that you notice one day, and then you become hyperaware of it, and from then on you always kind of notice it in some way. harassment and assault were always misused because of the connotation they carry, and the advent of things like the internet and unscripted tv mean that you're all the more aware of how often people in the wrong like to try to brand their victims, passersby, camera crews etc. as doing one or both. there's also just how broad assault as a word even is, etymologically and legally, which means it is by default used a *lot,* in and outside of legalise and meaning a colossal multitude of things threatening people was never harassment, it was, well, threatening people, and it definitely wasn't used like that in 2013, harassment has had the same few connotations and popular usages since the advent of widespread internet use, which is when it experienced one of the more dramatic expansions of both popular use and other kinds of usage, etc. people have always done dumb shit, we just have a much more widespread ability to witness it
@@iMajoraGaming The major difference is that back then when people were calling minor things harassment, they were doing it as a joke or non-seriously. When they do it now, they mean it dead seriously. If I said some old dude kept calling me at work and he was harassing me, people would understand it to mean he's just being annoying. But now, if I were to do the same thing and post it to tiktok or another place equally dumb, I'd be inundated with people suggesting I take actual legal action because harassment is a crime. How many people were arrested for "harassing" tweets pre-2010, and how many people have been arrested for "harassing" tweets now? I bet it's a whole lot more. Threatening people is harassment. Both obviously and legally. If you threaten people on twitter you'll get banned for harassment, if you threaten people irl you'll get arrested with harassment likely being your charge. Unless you were threatening their lives in which case it could even be ramped up to assault. Keep in mind I'm just pointing out how it is, not how it should be.
@@Winasaurus nah not at all, it was 100% serious, has been for decades. that's not a new thing at all, like i said, it's been a fixture of news cycles and the like since the turn of the millennium. it wasn't a common comedic trope in 2013, tumblr memes and 4-pannel shitposting was, and late night talkshows dominated the non-e sphere with the proliferation of things like late era jerry springer, maury etc. threatening people, on a literal and legal basis, gets filed under things like "terroristic threats," or even assault charges, i mean, yeah, it'll get you banned from social media for things like "harassment, hate-speech, bullying" etc. but permanent bans usually necessitate a visible history of, well, harassment. and no, most people wouldn't have taken it to mean he's just "being annoying" unless you actually stated that it "wasn't a big deal" and the like. words have connotations, and things like inflection are what govern how people react in situations like that.
I unsubscribed from Theft after the mob interview. It was so strange that their opinions radically changed out of nowhere for seemingly no good reason at all. Theft came off as more fake to me, so I left, and now to see that I was right is honestly super satisfying.
Yeah, that was just bizarre. He went from seeming to despise Mob, to paling around with them for views. With the heinous shit he exposes Mob for doing in earlier videos, you’d think he would never want to so much as speak to him!
Same here. It felt yucky. Especially since he didn’t show the interview like in the previous videos were he actually showed things…and said interview was just a sob story.
Hey Kane, this is a really solid video. As someone who **was** "friends" with Theft, these last few days have been extremely stressful for me and my other friends, so I'm just glad this exists as a full archive of pretty much everything that went down. As much as I want Theft to improve as a person going forward, it's really hard to see it happening any time soon. Anyway, thanks again for making this.
Sorry uhyeah for everything you've and your friends have been through. Theft was a lying, manipulating, bribing scumbag and we should've seen the writing on the wall. That apology was so garbage. It didn't even cover 90% of the things he was accused of. Man I'm so done with this guy
I can't wrap my head around the fact that a 30 year old man is getting this heated. like a fully developed fully grown adult almost brought to tears over fnaf drama on youtube is hilarious and sad. Keep up the good work Kane, keep doing what you do
You can't be fully developed if you get all worked up about something innocuous and pretend to be the victim despite contributing to/causing the problem.
@@randomwolfygirl If that "hmh" was implying what I think it's implying, let me say this. I'm saying he's being immature for his age, not mentally deficient.
The gaslighting from Theftking is INSANE. It’s TEXTBOOK gaslighting. I already didn’t like Theft King because of his thoughts on Case Animatronics. All this 30 year old man does is pick apart people’s words and do some mental gymnastics to make them look bad and feel bad. I love the fnaf fan community and I don’t want someone like Theft King to come and ruin it. I generally try to stay loving and positive but Theft King really grinds my gears. I would like to apologize for the tweet I did where I implied you were the aggressor in this situation where you "made your point" and "to be the bigger person and apologize." After this video and seeing your side of the events, I can now clearly see who started and amplified this to the extent. Thank you for showing me this and opening my eyes to a situation I knew nothing about.
@@POPGOES Is the beef over with both of you guys or is it one sided? Because theft king seems to keep bringing it up and I don’t know if you still have hate if you can even call it that. Also is FNaC and Popgoes really connected because I always see videos revolving around the tweet and I’m confused.
@@POPGOES I am confused so basically I have been manipulated by theftking thinking he was the good guy explaining the situation but he is really the bad guy? The plot be thickens.
I find it funny how theft handles critisism worse than some teenagers do, yet when he insults people and gets the repercussions for it, he's suddenly butthurt that the person he insulted (or in this case literally said that the person in question deserves to go to hell) even cares. He brags about having a big FNAF channel, yet acts like (and says) he has a small channel so anything he does wouldn't be seen online, thus the person receiving the hate from him wouldn't even notice, and it wouldn't have any effect.
I went into this stream as a Theft King fan, but I realized almost immediately he went live to essentially broadcast slander and character assassinate you. It was just awful, I’m sorry this happened to you man. Theft needs a reality check, he isn’t a king, he’s a bully.
It always bugs me when someone says they're getting an enormous amount of hate, but refuses to actually... show it. Sooo many people will claim they get all this hate, but it's always in ways that they can't POSSIBLY show people.
In the comments section of some of his videos, I've see people say things about him that are just straight up mean. Not even criticism, just making fun of him. I don't condone anything he's said or done, but as someone who's said horrible things in moments of extreme stress/anger and regretted it, I think he deserves another chance.
Well, sadly alot of kids idolize celebrities, and will defend them even without reason. Since 2016 I've heard and nonstop heard about stans finding these content-creators, harrassing them, and all over some petty thing that doesnt matter
Wait, wait, wait. Let me get this straight. I've mostly been passively observing this whole mess with mild amusement until now, never really looked too deep into either side. But you are telling me that the infamous donation message, something Theft has wielded for a while now... was just asking him to check a post that could debunk his factual inaccuracies? And that's it?
This is going to sound mildly inconsiderate, but superchatting the stream to reveal to truth to the viewers was such a god tier move. It's bold, but also, in its essence, shows your dedication to the truth, and dispelling misinformation-- a job that you obviously take very seriously. For that, my good sir, I commend you. You may have just won a new sub, too :D
As someone who defended Theft during his stream, I don’t think I can support him anymore after all this. He has shown himself to be very rude and manipulative, which really sucks cause I like his content. I hope he can better himself.
At the end what really matters is that you now see what kind of person he truly is. I personally had a bad feeling about him when I saw his first "big hit" about him bashing security breach. At that point I just thought he would be another FNAF content creator, someone I could watch for info. But as time went on I began to see that he was just not letting go of speaking out against security breach and how bad it is. Eventually he DID let go and moved on to creating videos on other topics relating to FNAF and Poppy Playtime. However he pulled a sneaky one on us by making the video: "Security Breacch should be illegal". What really set off the red flag for me was his video: "MatPat SOLVED FNAF 7 Years ago: Requiem for a Dream Theory". It was literally just a copy of Matpat's video (and yes I watched the entire video AGAIN just for this comment). Literally NOTHING of value was added to make it more interesting. To wrap this comment up I do not blame you for supporting him. At some point I thought he would be a new big figure head in the FNAF community. Well he ended up getting a decently large channel. Unfortunately he fell off by just not knowing when to stop. Thanks for reading :)
@@stalinjoseph7868 I got the first sign during Aftonbuilt lmao. It was really obvious that he assisted somebody in breaking an NDA that day, slandered the Fanverse via making claims with no evidence, overhyping a lot of stuff that really isn't all that bad if true, and doing nobody any favors. (except him of course, he got some bag that day) I'd forgive him if he was around the age of somebody like Th3Badd3st or Pastra, but he's almost double the age of Th3Badd3st lmao, he should have really known better. Everybody gave him a second chance for some reason after that act, and nobody really cared. Then he did the exact same thing, but because Kane was there to defend himself, and Scott wasn't, it all blew right up in his face lmao. I really liked his videos prior, excluding the ones bashing Security Breach for the 5 thousandth time, but that made me lose all hope in him. I really hope everything turns out well for you man and that anyone bothering you on his behalf will stop eventually. These comments from Theft were really uncalled for
watching theft king have an emotional breakdown over a few lighthearted jabs that were not even *directed* at him is like an exercise in just how much secondhand embarrassment someone can handle before cringing out of reality
" an emotional breakdown over a few lighthearted jabs that were not even directed at him" wasn't even swinging (pun intended) at the king and he still fell
And he’s in his mid 30s, I’m 13 and that would just make me laugh, how do you even cry over that! And it wasn’t even directed at him like you said! I was mostly on the fence at first when I first saw Theft's video and stream, but as already said, this video has truly helped me open my eyes and provide more on the situation! :)
I'm gonna be dead honest Kane, before I had as much context, I kinda hated your guts. I thought you were just harassing an innocent guy for a couple of wild accusations and drama starting. In all honesty, after all the community drama, I instantly assumed things I shouldntve and lacked hindsight, and I believe many people were in this situation aswell. Theft King is irresponsible and has only brought something that the fanverse desperately needs to avoid from now on. Drama. This is an apology on behalf of me and so many others who have been lead astray by all this worry, stress, accusation and drama.
I understand. I have no bad blood with Theft King's followers or anyone who was misled by what he said. It's easy to be manipulated online. Thanks for being honest!
It’s a shame when you have a lot of respect and love for a TH-camr who was your favorite like theft king turns out to be not so much of a great person. My bad Kane, for thinking you were some kind of bum at first.
I hate this pattern where a seemly cool commentary channel appears and then after a while they reveal their true colors, i genuinely cant understand how commentary youtubers can become so bad at a point where you cant even feel mad just dissapointed at them.
It's a semi god-complex. You get a few good videos out and all the attention and praise makes you believe that you're the arbiter of all good/correct opinions. When you get popular over 'journalism' or news like Theft King did, you begin to think that you should be given access to anyone else within your commentary genre of choice. Theft was able to interview and make content out of quite a few FNAF fan developers and content creators, with his videos being the first hand source for a lot of the big news that's happened (ie Aftonbuilt). When that sort of ego raising thing happens, if someone you expect to jump at the chance to be interviewed by you (Kane) denies you (albeit unintentionally) its a full on meltdown mode.
Took me a minute to watch this, but man. I'm so upset that it had to get to this. I left you a kinda dated message on Twitter after, but I'll use here to give my more updated response. Kane, I am genuinely sorry if I blindly hated on you while in this situation. I had a personal relationship with theft, and I considered him a genuine friend of mine. This situation is everything that could've went wrong, the night after I literally woke up thinking it was just a dream. I tried so hard to have him go down a better, more rational path. The amount of effort I was trying to put into that at the time made me think some negative things about you mainly just because I don't really have a personal relationship with you. Even if I didn't do anything publicly, I'd just thought I would let you know that and I feel so genuinely guilty for being like that during all of this. I realize now that you weren't the bad guy, just someone who didn't want to put up with bs. I do want to thank you for exposing his true colors as early as possible though, I'd rather have it happen after 4 months of knowing him than longer so I would've been even more attached. I wanted nothing than to just have this not happen, it's so surreal to think a week ago from today our little group was still completely in function with no problems. This situation still has left a hole in me that I'm slowly healing from. I lost a friend in the last 3 days, and it sucks. All I can say going forward now is just this: thank you, and I'm sorry.
Hi Daggz. I was paying attention to what you were saying but felt it would be inappropriate to argue with you when I knew this video would make things as clear as possible anyway. I have no hard feelings towards the people who were seemingly manipulated by what Theft King was doing and saying. To me it's obvious that you are a good person, and your passion to see things resolve peacefully was nice to see. Really, there's no need to apologise. We can move on now.
@@Daggz I agree with Kane. If you were really a terrible person, you would not have apologized. And even if (and that's a very unlikely if, to my limited knowledge) you were a bad person, you clearly reformed. Honestly, I think reformed individuals are the best ones. Just look at Paarthurnax, for example.
its a shame when creators you thought were good turn out be bad people, but you can’t stop it from happening anyway. i hope anyone affected by theft is okay, and that he learns to better himself.
@@musictorin I'm not too sure he's a good person either but I agree that I don't think he's like a grade A villain, but the last 8 minutes of the video were pretty damning so he's probably not a good person. Despite that I do hope he finds some sort of good in himself and finds some sort of inner peace or something like that..
Tbh I kinda attribute his attitude here with an inflated ego due to how fast he gained popularity. Getting that popular that fast is like the roughest introductory into being a content creator ever and has never been the best for the mental health for those that have it happen to them.
As someone who isn't one who actively keeping up with internet drama or live streams but still being part of the community from a arms reach, seeing all this is like watching a cop cruiser rushing past your house while it's ablaze.
"I would never attack JohnnyBlox!" *two seconds later, literally attacks JohnnyBlox" I've only seen TheftKing on my recommended feed a few times but holy crap I cannot believe this is a man in his 30s. I've dealt with my fair share of crappy people casually dropping threats when they get called out on their shitty behavior. I'm sorry this happened to you and I hope by speaking out this gives you an opportunity to heal
Ikr i never could really bare his videos for more than like 5 minutes because I'd get bored, but i still thought he was in his teens by the way his voice sounded 💀 I'm glad i never got attatched to the guy, now that this happened.
I was originally going to donate to Theft, not knowing two sides of the situation, but with this video, you've helped my money go to the right party. Stay strong, Kane! ♥️♥️♥️
I gotta be honest. ive been rewatching this, not because i particularly care about the drama, but because I really enjoy listening to your voice. I don't know why but it's very soothing.
The fact a 30 year old man is really victimizing himself towards others is disappointing to say the least, I rlly supported theft and wasn’t even aware of this drama, I now know the context and am still in disbelief.
The part that annoyed me the most was "you're really starting to piss other content creators off" without naming any examples. Don't make accusations if you can't back them up, Theft : )
Well considering he also claimed he was being harassed and threatened by Kane's fans, then provided 0 examples when Kane asked "Oh dang, which ones?" that's par for the course
Theft king: *You're fans are harassing me kane!* Kane: *That's a nice arguement theft king why don't you back it up with a source!* Theft king: *MY SOURCE IS THAT I MADE IT THE ᚫUCK UP!!*
All I knew before this was the "burn in hell for eternity line" and I was thinking 'wow, what could kane have done to earn a reaction like that'. After watching this video I almost laughed at thefts immaturity. Props to you for handling this situation bettr then most.
I'd said before "Picking sides is stupid and everyone is dumb" but I was giving Theft King way too much benefit of the doubt. The way he attacked Jonny and encouraged others to do so too was horrible, and makes it clear that he thinks himself a victim whenever he has to confront his own behavior honestly. Stop watching his videos and he will truly learn that his actions have consequences, because it's the one thing he has zero control over.
As a passive watcher of this whole situation, I always found Theftking to be unnecessarily drumming up drama and click baiting these outlandish things in his thumbnails just for views and not giving a crap about the devs hard at work. His actual videos are just pure speculation 95% of the time, so thanks for finally calling this out. As someone directly involved with the fanverse, I believe you much more than anyone looking in from the outside. This drama is so unnecessary, and I really hope we can all just move past it and await the fanverse's fruits.
Yeah he also just forgets to do surface level research sometimes. Like in one video about Security Breach where he somehow thinks the Monty Mix and Pizza Bot quests are one and the same
You say that as if he was the only youruber who does clickbait Clickbait is very common about youtubers and there's man youtubers that do the same or even worse than theft king and didn't got exposed that much fr fr
The montage of Theft King attacking Jonny was very painful to watch. Actually, every clip of him here was painful to watch. When faced with evidence that he's been faking crying over an issue that was already resolved, he totally ignores it and just yells at Kane. Glad you got this out there. I hope as many people see it as possible, painful to think someone with no prior knowledge could have fallen for Theft's rants. If anybody still defends him after this I will be deeply confused.
I’m not gonna defend anything but I’m still gonna watch him so long as it has nothing to do with this. I’m sick and tired of seeing controversy left and right and I don’t care anymore.
You can tell Kane is just done with this with how he voices over the video, there’s no quivering or raising his voice or whatever, just saying what can be proven. Mad respect.
As someone who has suffered abuse at the hand of many people in my life, Theft reminds me a lot of the person my father used to be. There's a big difference between being a victim and playing the victim and then going on full attack when you fool anyone you can. A big shame.
For real. My mom was like that, and no matter who I would go to for 'help' she would someway, somehow always portray me as this "crazy, rebellious teen who wants to ruin me, even though all ive done was give her everything". Its beyond pathetic.
Can unfortunately relate. He kind of reminds me of several people, one of them my abusive ex. He would constantly neg me, and when I would respond at all, he would say I was "taking it too personally," but if I ever had even a light criticism, he would absolutely meltdown on me. Once I asked, I am wholly serious, if he would consider using the strategy guide for a game we were playing together just a little less, so we could have a more organic experience in some places. This triggered a three hour long tirade. It also reminds me of a relative who would, y'know, do something wrong, like steal from you, and then would lie about doing it, even if you could absolutely prove they did it. They would exaggerate, lie, and distort thr tiniest things. And if you ever, EVER, gave them even a little pushback, they would start crying. I cannot overstate how irrationally angry that makes you after awhile. It's so aggravating to have someone start sobbing to try to gaslight you into wondering if you are the baddie, etc. Hearing Theft do that shit just made me want to backhand him, I saw right through that and it was so slimy.
I think it's important to let all of you know that Thieft King isn't a teenager. He's in fact in he's mid 30s. Sorry you had to waste your time with this big baby kane, hope popgoes Goes well!
I stopped caring about the Theftking when his drug abuse video about his dark and troubled past came out, there was something that felt off about the video and it made me feel like: "Yeah, I shouldn't pay too much attention to this guy."
I love Kane's voice. It just feels so sophisticated. I feel like he is going to sit me down, straighten up his tie, and tell me the most detailed information I've ever heard. Good vid man.
And this video is what we call a "chad move". Kane Carter, you already had my respect, but you, sir, have proven that you can keep calm during a stupid situation that would surely piss someone off.
I came from theft's channel. Holy crap, I am embarassed to once again find myself in a situation of following such as horrible person (Theft of course). When my paycheck comes in, I'll definatly make sure to play popgoes. Thank you for adressing this, this couldn't have been easy.
Bro I literally started a hus most recent video seen his comment about filtering a ND immediately came here and boom. Theft king completely exposed as playing the victim and just blowing this out of proportion.
I would have more respect for theft if it wasn’t blatantly obvious he’s lying about being harassed. Like I get being defensive about his content and not seeing eye to eye but why he feels like he has to make up abuse to make himself a victim is just beyond me.
You know you already had me convinced that shady things were happening like 5 minutes in. It’s nice to see that people are still capable of responding while keeping a professional look. Additionally, that superchat move was the most based thing i have ever seen
In the situation I don’t feel bad for Theft at all, he is a 30 year old man and should learn how to to deal with a situation like one. His mentality was super toxic. He did act like a child . But him taking thing to seriously and blaming everyone else except himself timid the type of person I don’t wish to be watching. I hope he learns to be better, but I also don’t want another half-assed apology. :/
This is… relatable. You’re a person with some level of influence and/or authority in an online community. You’re going about your day. You work, sleep, wake up, and blam: someone has decided to call you Satan and make a big deal out of something you didn’t even realize you were part of. Im not an Internet personality-or influencer to be more accurate-but I’ve been in charge of a number of online communities. It’s so easy for people to throw shade when there’s any kind of perceived wrongdoing. When I was a dumb kid growing on the internet, I participated in a lot of stupid bandwagons inevitably, but I recall around the time when I was actually getting more self-aware and hopefully less cringe, I had a friend out of nowhere drop a bombshell on me for a Facebook post that had nothing to do with them. I talked to them privately, they escalated, I stopped talking to them, and they proceeded to grab a bunch of friends to wage war on the platform I was on. Later, I was put in charge along with others of a Discord server, and half of the staff had lost it, leaving a few of us to clean up the mess. Shortly after, we had a long-since departed former-staff member get into a fight with someone, we intervened, and it led to the staff as a whole being vilified. After that, we had multiple staff act outside of the rules and basically harass users. We confronted the staff involved and removed those who didn’t step down, but even to this day, there are still people who treat the staff who weren’t even in the community when the bad behavior happened as though they are power hungry dictators. Some people are power hungry. Some people are attention addicts. Some people are allergic to criticism. Some are all of these things, and it’s the absolute worst when you’re just going about your day only to run into needless drama. And you couldn’t be more on-point about the doom and gloom mentality. Another thing I’ve seen in plenty of communities I’ve been in and/or helped run is how people will be so quick to complain or act like the community is dying, but they don’t actually work to make it better, and they ignore the work being done to keep things active. People have very little self-awareness, and they’ll just perpetuate a narrative without proof because it’s easy.
im still tryna get over the fact that theft king is in his THIRTIES, based on his voice, way of handling things and overall content style I assumed he was a teenager
This is so bizarre. Theft King really talks like he has a lot more sway in the community than he actually does, and it genuinely seems like he believes what he's saying too. Genuinely concerning behavior from a man of his age
He highkey seems like he has some manic narcissism going on. Far too fragile for criticism when he's "losing" but when he thinks he's winning it's nothing but "wHo dO yOu ThInK yOu ArE" which implies he is somehow superior to the person challenging him. REALLY concerning behavior.
He act like an villain whit super big ego who just got an insult from an hero after it broked down and is crying from smollest nagitive things thorse them thats the impression i get from em
its extremely funny too because in the stream he constantly kept saying "people will just go like "who the fuck is theft king?"" ( he said this multiple times, i think once in response to someone telling him he was trending ) and then like immediately after gets really egotistical and acting like hes the biggest content creator - its such a whiplash. whenever he talks abt people he doesnt like he acts like hes the best person ever and that he's ultimately untouchable ( and really just acts like a massive dick, instantly trying to poke holes and insult unrelated things like with his phisnom comments ) and whenever hes talking abt himself in that livestream hes really doubling down on playing victim its insane
The way Theft’s voice changes when he shows his true colours is… unsettling. Also HE’S THIRTY??? Legit thought he was in his early 20s with his voice. Feels like a manipulation tactic to make him seem more friendly. Dude needs to grow up.
"I'm trying to resolve this in private and then you come in my fucking livestream and do a dona- are you serious? Are you kidding me, dude? do you know how unfair a position that is to put me in!?" while displaying private DMs in an hours long stream dedicated to publicly berating you is easily my favorite moment in this entire controversy.
That was literally one of the most impossible to comprehend parts to me, “Do you know how unfair a position you put me in?” As he plays the victim and misleads his fans to hate and puts Kane in an unfair position. That made me lose respect for him.
"It is entirely possible to be a channel in this space whilst being successful, happy and healthy." That message at the end seems like common sense, but was incredibly nice to hear out loud for once. Many thanks for handling this professionally (something you'd think anyone with a large platform would do) & showing the full truth! Subscribed. I've never played a FNAF game, so POPGOES will be my first! YIPEE! 😁

@@chasekellow3835 that would be a good point, if it was true. The initial tweet was heavily implied to be about Theft which is why he responded, however the other was about Sheeprampage to which Kane provided a link to his video clearly stating as such. I am baffled at how this came out of thin air. And how swift this dude's actions have evaporated his image. It's a bummer too, I thought Theft was a fresh, chill, new fnaf youtuber. Sad to see he's not what I thought he was.
Dude's made tons of bait drama videos for months now and keeping a community that thinks it's better than other people. This was the spark that lit the powderkeg of his delusion of self importance
the way he harassed jonny... it's actually really concerning and I can't believe what I just saw. thank you for showing us this, and thank you for sharing your part of the story. it's horrible how someone that's so mean and shady towards other creators can have such a platform and still benefit from the drama :(. I just hope everyone who was affected by his actions can have a moment of peace thanks to your clarification, and that he gets what he deserves for twisting this story so much for his own benefit. (sorry if there's something I misspelled, english is not my first language and I'm still learning. thanks again for this video!)
I will admit, I watched his live for a good like 20-30 minutes, but I felt extremely... uncomfortable. He seemed like he was manipulating his audience, and I could tell it in his voice (Ive been emotionally abused before. I can tell if someone is being manipulative), but I decided to not notice it and think he was being serious. Huge mistake on my end. I felt uncomfortable because I KNEW something was wrong. Over time seeing you as a developer, it seemed unreal that you were apparently attacking this creator since Ive only seen kind interactions with you and other creators, and it quite literally was unreal, it was all fake. You had a reason for why you acted like that towards him. So angry at myself for not realizing it sooner and ignoring myself when I was right the first time, especially since it's not the first time it's happened to me (going back to the emotional abuse topic). I hope he changes his ways quickly because playing victim and being manipulative will not help him later on.
Legitimate question, what are signs and tells you learned to pick up on? Considering all the amount of drama that seems to plague FNaF these days, I think it might be helpful for people to learn to see those tells. Might even help some kids be more aware of the manipulation and thus prevent some groomers from being able to take advantage as easily.
@@derpfluidvariant0916 Well, this may not apply to everyone because everyone experiences emotions differently, but one thing to look at is the way they're speaking. Like their tone, the way they're wording things, etc. Also, some things that helped me a lot when learning was to look at their emotions and personality closely, and also (if possible) look at how they speak/act towards others. Do they act horribly towards you and then go on to say to others you're a horrible person and stuff? Do they try every way possible to make you seem like a bad person? Things like that are usually signs someone is manipulating you, and that's exactly what theft king did towards Kane. I'm sorry if this didn't help at all, I am not the best at explaining things.
@@bobateachi I think I get the gist of what you're saying. I'm personally absolutely awful at reading people(Autism has its ups and downs, and this is one of the more prevalent downs for me), but I hope that this helps others.

You mean Poppy Playtime creators? That could in theory change how people will still look at them, remove Theif King and there's still not good. The idea is, King entire defense for PPT actions now means nothing anymore and are still held accountable. (okay it's a Pure excuse to continue Anti PPT support but... I guess what are you going to)???
I saw Kane Carter at a grocery store yesterday. I told him how cool it was to meet him in person, but I didn’t want to be a douche and bother him and ask him for photos or anything. He said, “Oh, like you’re doing now?” I was taken aback, and all I could say was “Huh?” but he kept cutting me off and going “huh? huh? huh?” and closing his hand shut in front of my face. I walked away and continued with my shopping, and I heard him chuckle as I walked off. When I came to pay for my stuff up front I saw him trying to walk out the doors with like fifteen Milky Ways in his hands without paying.
this is so disappointing. I haven't been watching Theft King for long, only a couple of weeks at most. But I thought he was a chill FNAF content creator who was just posting videos about different fan games, keeping people up to date on the fanverse initiative n shit but to see him having a meltdown over what seems to me to be a misunderstanding is incredibly disappointing. a 5 hour livestream where he slanders you and Jonny (and whoever else he may have been ranting about) is just ridiculous and childish. I have always hated people who paint themselves to be victims when in fact they're not. I'm honestly glad I didn't watch those streams myself because I might've ripped into him if possible. when I saw the thumbnails for these streams, I got all kinds of bad vibes from them and opted not to. Theft, buddy, _you're in your fucking 30's. Grow a fucking spine and stop acting like a victim when you're not. Stop painting innocent people like villains when they're not. My question is: what happened to the fnaf community? Was it always like this when Scott was around? I hadn't seen any controversy blow up like this in the community before Scott's departure, and if it did, he addressed it and it was pretty tame. Nowadays, it's greedy Devs and greedy Influencers dominating the space. I'm just glad that Kane is the new 'spokes person' of FNaF, because otherwise, the whole community would crumble without one.
I think there's been quite a lot of drama pretty recently, probably the biggest ever, mostly with The Pear and other fangame creators, and now this with Theft King. But let's not get into nostalgia. It was mostly the same years ago. Many dramas, many cancellations, groomers, artists, reddit drama, twitter drama, all that stuff. Phisnom was a drama guy for years for example. It's just that we've got a few things accumulated at once recently. Scott's department didn't really change anything (not that it logically can change anything, it's not that Scott was overseeing the dramas). I'm sure both The Pear and Theft King would still happen even if Scott was still active in the community.
@@soohavfnaf You've got a point. I just think that Scott was moreso of a general figure head in the community. Also going back to when Scott was here, I didn't use Twitter and I was an impressionable child so I guess that's my experience with it lmao

I honestly wasn't familiar with any of this til last night, but to me the clip of how he handled his frustration with JonnyBlox told me everything I need to know about TheftKing tbh. I don't think the FNAF community has ever been free from drama, but I think it's gotten worse over the years and really don't think people like this should have a platform in the community unless they learn how to handle it better. I really hope to see TheftKing handle things better going forward.
Honestly, Theft King says he isn’t talking bad about JonnyBlox but proceeds to curse him out says a lot. Sadly, it doesn’t seem like he’ll be changing anytime soon which is disappointing because his content was genuinely good.
I've had meltdowns like what Theft had when I was in my late teens to early 20s. Inexperience and unresolved trauma etc etc. Got me some help after a diagnosis of borderline personality disorder. Finding out Thefts in his freaking thirties and having a meltdown like that left me gobsmacked.
Theft King reeks of insecurity posing as confidence. I hope he gets the help in handling his emotions he needs, because in general his content has been decent quality. However, seeing that last part of him attacking Jonny, and seeing that he still tried to claim he was a victim in many scenarios after... Yeah.
Pretty much summarizes my feelings well. He's incredibly insecure and you can really tell how much he just manipulates people around him, intentionally or not Eitherway, he should be avoided at all cost. He's a vortex that's trying to suck us all in onto the same mindset as him.
honestly, when this was all going down I had no idea what side to be on or what was going on. Now after seeing this I understand more better and yeah theft is playing the victim big time :/ Thank you for making this video and I've added Popgoes arcade to my steam wish list :) Also- thank you for having good captions on your video. As a hard of hearing person, I always appreciate when people put actual captions on their videos so I don't have to use the auto ones :)
First person to notice the subtitles haha! I spent two hours writing them up today. I'm glad they came in handy for at least one person. And thank you for your support - I hope you enjoy Arcade if you get round to it!
Honestly the most impressive thing about this is that you turned theft king into a snivelling wreck by simply NOT TOLERATING HIS BULLSHIT. I think a lot of people (especially artists/content creators) can learn a thing or two from how you dealt with this. Narcissistic behaviours like the ones that Theft King displayed can sometimes be really difficult to deal with, but by being straight up and honest, without giving them an inch, their insecurities swallow them up whole. Well done. Honestly when I saw TK's video on you, I was wondering why he was so pressed about your comments if you didn't mention him, but clearly it was because he was doing the exact things you criticized and people were smart enough to see it despite his attempts to mislead them. If the shoe fits, wear it. I will be honest though, I am quite optimistic he will make a change. Especially now that you have made this video highlighting just how poorly he has been behaving, and how this has damaged his reputation as well as his relationships with other content creators, this actually will put his bottom line in jeopardy. He can't keep going this trajectory or his channel will self-destruct. A change in tune is likely due for him based on that alone, and hopefully during this shift he will take the time to self reflect and grow (unlikely as that may be) Edit: also he is due a taste of his own medicine. These types of content creators are vultures, and also cannibals. It's just a matter of time before they capitalize on this drama to line their own pockets.

23:54 Up until this point, I had NO idea that Theft King was harassing JohnnyBlox like this. Truly DISGUSTS me beyond belief that this guy still has an audience with this behavior
What’s ironic about this whole situation is that Theft King himself on a stream once said he “wouldn’t do anything stupid” that would get him cancelled or ruin his credibility… Yet here we are, and I’ve never been so disappointed in someone in my entire life. I hope that Theft King can come to learn and better himself from this situation, but I will not continue to support him from this point on.
It just felt that the more Theft King got away and profited with talking only negative stuff about almost everyone he’s talked about, the more Theft King abused his power as a content creator. Cause why would he try holding Kane at gunpoint by releasing a video talking shit about Kane if Kane like doesn’t apologise or something for whatever reason, if Theft King’s true intentions of making these videos, is just to inform people of happenings behind the scenes of things that somehow Theft has convenient access to.

i swear in 2022 the word "harassment" just lost its all meaning at this point. The amount of time theft said "harassment" is just a bruh moment
Especially considering theft was doing much worse..hypocrite at best here
"Harassment" "Assault" and "Bigotry" are all very very diluted from where they were 10 years ago. Harassment back then was essentially directly threatening people. Harassment now is sitting next to someone who didn't ask you to explicitly.
@@Winasaurus nah, people have been calling innocuous or minor things "harassment" in that exact fashion for well over 20 years, probably near 30
ten years ago was 2013, not 2003. it's always been a denigrated word, even pre-internet, there was never a paradigm shift, you just became more aware of it being overused after you first noticed it, there's a word for it but i forgor
the act of growing up often has several things, words, etc. that you notice one day, and then you become hyperaware of it, and from then on you always kind of notice it in some way. harassment and assault were always misused because of the connotation they carry, and the advent of things like the internet and unscripted tv mean that you're all the more aware of how often people in the wrong like to try to brand their victims, passersby, camera crews etc. as doing one or both.
there's also just how broad assault as a word even is, etymologically and legally, which means it is by default used a *lot,* in and outside of legalise and meaning a colossal multitude of things
threatening people was never harassment, it was, well, threatening people, and it definitely wasn't used like that in 2013, harassment has had the same few connotations and popular usages since the advent of widespread internet use, which is when it experienced one of the more dramatic expansions of both popular use and other kinds of usage, etc.
people have always done dumb shit, we just have a much more widespread ability to witness it
@@iMajoraGaming The major difference is that back then when people were calling minor things harassment, they were doing it as a joke or non-seriously.

At the end what really matters is that you now see what kind of person he truly is. I personally had a bad feeling about him when I saw his first "big hit" about him bashing security breach. To have commentary, you need an opinion. And boy, do people have strong opinions.
Off topic, I love your EFT pfp :)

@@confused_maguire6764 14:40
Yah he should've think through things

He’s legit the stereo typical guy with an ego who breaks down and cry’s when the slightest bit of shade gets thrown his way
He got drunk with power after he suddenly exploded in popularity
"I'm trying to resolve this in private and then you come in my fucking livestream and do a dona- are you serious? the way he harassed jonny... it's actually really concerning and I can't believe what I just saw. thank you for showing us this, and thank you for sharing your part of the story. it's horrible how someone that's so mean and shady towards other creators can have such a platform and still benefit from the drama :(. I just hope everyone who was affected by his actions can have a moment of peace thanks to your clarification, and that he gets what he deserves for twisting this story so much for his own benefit.
(sorry if there's something I misspelled, english is not my first language and I'm still learning. thanks again for this video!)
And he didn't even mention Jonny in his apology, ehh

A change in tune is likely due for him based on that alone, and hopefully during this shift he will take the time to self reflect and grow (unlikely as that may be)
Edit: also he is due a taste of his own medicine. These types of content creators are vultures, and also cannibals. It's just a matter of time before they capitalize on this drama to line their own pockets.

Fame can get to a person’s head easily and it’s really sad to see.
It just felt that the more Theft King got away and profited with talking only negative stuff about almost everyone he’s talked about, the more Theft King abused his power as a content creator.
Cause why would he try holding Kane at gunpoint by releasing a video talking shit about Kane if Kane like doesn’t apologise or something for whatever reason,
