Thank you! It's been a many months since I purchased it and I still use it every time I finish showering. It sped up my routine quite a bit. If you want a better idea of how it can be used in your routine, I did another video sharing how I use it to get straight or curly hair. Definitely take your time to make your decision, it is an investment.

Is it even worth comparing? If you're spending 600 dollars on a product it for damn sure should be better than the product that cost 300. Hats off to Shark for trying to come up with a more reasonably priced product.

Actually they are not comparable because Dyson made the studies, came up with the technology and still manages to be the better product. They are most likely worth the money for whom can afford it
@hawaiigirl8089 Very bias. She said if she was going to invest in a dryer for the next 10 years, she would go with Dyson. She should read the reviews because that dryer is failing under two years.
I’ve used both for a month on my long thick hair and honestly think Shark is overpriced for the quality & performance. Dyson actually works much better & didn’t damage my hair at all, my hair was clearly more dry & flat when using the Shark. Needless to say, I returned the Shark

Thank you for the video I was looking for--a full comparison. We travel a fair amount (I'm a travel advisor), and traveling with my Dyson tools makes me nervous, worrying about them getting lost or stolen. So I have gotten the Flexstyle to test as an option for travel. I don't think I'm going to love it though, especially after watching this. The button placement was my main concern. After using an Airwrap for 4 years, I think the controls on the Shark will drive me crazy. I've tried a variety of other options to use for travel, and having the controls at the bottom (as they are on pretty much every other tool) is so aggravating. I was hoping it would be different with the Flexstyle. 😏

My biggest problem with the Shark is the brush attachments. They are way too rough, too many pokey bristles that catch and pull out too much hair. Brad Mondo did a similar comparison and he found the same. The Shark curling barrels are wonderful tho but not worth pulling out the machine just for that. The Dyson smoothing brushes are much more gentle and don't pull on your hair because they use the coanda effect. The Shark brushes do not. They just use alot of tension and heat. I can only use the shark if I use it as a regular blowdryer with the concentrator nozzle, a regular hair brush and then go in with the curling barrels. Just not a great investment for that, I don't think. So I keep the Dyson plugged in and ready to use. Hopefully Shark will release some gentler brush attachments with the coanda technology one day.

I finally bought the new dyson long and it is amazing, but really doesn’t stay more than 3-4 hours and its so sad… anyone knows a way to keep the curls/ volume for longer..
Hi there! I totally understand how you feel. It definitely takes a lot of testing with your hair type, products and routine to develop a quick one that stays in all day. It took me over a month to figure out the best routine for me. It's too long to put in a comment here, but I'll have a video coming out this Saturday that will include the tricks I use to keep my curls intact for longer. It ultimately depends on your hair type, how fast your hair dries, what products you use that support your hairstyle.
I always start with still slightly damp hair after the smoothing brush, then use the barrels on high heat and high air flow for about 15 seconds each. Always use the cool shot for a few seconds and turn the dryer off when sliding the barrel down and out. I allow the curls to completely cool before brushing out, then use a texture spray and run a wide tooth comb through my hair. The curls do loosen during the day but leave behind a smooth, frizz free style that didn't damage my hair to get.
