F40PH-3C & CTC-1B "Northside" Cabcar On The MBTA Old Colony Lines

The MBTA's Old Colony Lines were granted a couple rarities for the month of July. Newly rebuilt F40PH-3C #1054 along with a rare northside set of equipment roamed the southside commuter lines for a few weeks. On July 23th, I visited the Middleboro/Lakeville and Kington/Plymouth line with determination to witness one of these sets in service and managed to kill two birds with one stone. Enjoy the video.

Tonight marked the first time I rode an MBTA commuter train pulled by one of those rebuilt F40PH-3Cs. But I guess it was inevitable...

1054 is definitely my Least Favorite MBTA F40 now... I myself already don't like the cosmetic changes the F40PH-3C Rebuilds made, but that horn is truly brings disgusting to another level... Pray they never rebuild 1070...

They’re a private public transportation operator. They are not the MBTA, but they operate it.

The rotems have K3H’s and the CTC-1 has a K3LA
