I have had constant rain for 3 days. Well, today it is finally moved on. Trying to sort out projects and fabrics. I just want to hunker down and enjoy the rain we have not had in a few years. Love that free furniture you got.

Sounds like you need to shop for some fabric or maybe use an old pretty floral shirt or sheet?

You know what's funny? As a 9 year old child I took apart my mother's super fancy pleated shade. She got the set from the home department at Marshall Fields in Chicago. Although I got in A LOT of trouble, I found that they were assembled with... Hot glue!
Sometimes we start something and get imposter syndrome because our materials have been in low places. I think that you do a wonderful job at making your home and booth beautiful. I am impressed with how your hutch came together with the lemons. When I get a hutch I will know how to snazz up my grandmother's dishes. Until then, you are an expert. 🎉

Enjoy your videos so much. Don’t see how you have the energy unless you’re a type A personality. My mom was! Had a antique booth for over twenty years probably even longer. Still going strong at seventy something,worked until just a month before she passed away. I redo furniture and craft a little but nothing like you do. And I don’t even have small children! My two are grown. See ya next week! ☺️
I think I am a mix of type A and B. I am a natural leader, but also not a perfectionist like most type A's can be. To me, finished is better than perfect. That is admirable to have a booth for 20 years! its hard work. I hope I can keep moving and stay "young" well into old age. Thank you so much for watching
Our Goodwill opened a retail (Boutique store) right next to the bins store so all glass items & really good clothing, accessories & furniture go into that store. We can still find really good deals at the bins store too though.
Those boutiques are so expensive! I'm glad you don't have all the broken glass though

Cory, do you think it would still work if I took off the existing fabric shade and do this?
The fabric would get bendy. It needs the original shade so that it will hold the shape. You can maybe remove the original fabric and then attach some poster paper as a shade to help it hold its shape?

I knew you were special. I’ve been watching you since I was hospitalized and bed bound. The first channel I watched and stayed true too. We have matching pit bull’s. Roxisaurus weighs in about 100 lbs. she’s 10 years old now. I love her so much and she loves me we’ve been thru some horrible accidents and it’s made us closer. Be blessed

Absolutely another haul Corey!! ❤pray for Piper to get better🐶🙏🏻 TH-cam sounds is coming thru good. I’d paint the multi colored angle sticks and get rid of the spikes in them-most candles are in jars now. As far as dogs go-been a very bad week. I had a boxer mix (whom was Pit mixed). She would have been 2 hrs in March. With me she was my Baby. She attacked my 12 yr old retriever a week ago. Had to call animal control & have euthanized, took retriever, Sunny to vet-lost 6 teeth. Had to intubate her and suture in her mouth. I jumped into fight-no bite, fractured left hand finger knuckle from the twisting. Had surgery yesterday. Emotional week for sure!! Moving forward, prepared for being out of work and got my small creative stuff 28:41 28:41 28:41 together before surgery!!
Got my adult, coloring books, resin, and ink stamps with ink. Making family coasters. Left hand out of commission with big stuff for awhile!! Oh-that enamel looking bread box? I got the laundry ones-one to hold my colored pencils and the other to hold tall paintbrushes- they were taller. Still finding Gingers squeaky balls around the house!! She would smell them out when I got home from Walmart!! The longest she squeaked it was 1 hour!! It was Hillarious!! Went on too long, just such recent events, and taking Roxy!! LOL❤ LOVE your projects!!❤🌸❤️

Edit: OMG! The silver bowl at 15:28. My mom got one identical to it from a flea mkt in Madrid in 1970! It was silver plated, my brother still has it!

I'm astounded that you got that many incredible items in 15 minutes! You are certainly the queen of the bins.
The silver plated bowl is made by Gorham, which is a higher end manufacturer when it comes to silver plated items. I would polish it before doing anything to it like painting it. The copper might be showing through, because it was polished too many times, but it might be tarnish, so polish it to find out for sure. Some collectors look for Gorham in particular.

I love seeing all the cool stuff you get in the goodwill bins! Wish that we had something like that here in the UK. Part of me thinks it would be so exciting to go thrifting in the bins but the other half of me thinks my brain would explode with being completely overwhelmed 😅😅

I saw that same plate that didn't have a price on it on a different channel who does the same thing with Goodwill items, except stages them in her own home. She also wanted to buy it and it was not priced and she asked, and they gave her a high price of, I think, $3.99 or more and she left it behind, only to buy it for half price, at a later date. You and she must live in the same area of TX.

Those who are bored with farmhouse style are typically fad chasers and not true lovers of the true historical and old. If you truly love old and rustic, you love it forever and you add in things you curate over time. This makes a home truly “you”. I prefer following my authentic love for things versus trying to keep up with fads. Fad chasing fuels consumerism and that’s why “knockoff farmhouse” items are landing in the bins, whereas the warehouses full of true antiques ( farmhouse to Victorian style) continue to thrive as they have for generations.

Having worked at a Goodwill store, we used to give a higher price for items without a price tag because we assumed the person asking scraped off the price tag because it was priced too high for them. Great haul!

No, it won't. I found out that all pleated lampshades are actually made with hot glue.
