Are you preloading the clutch or just dumping it on the launch? My buddy with a whippled S197 is consistently cutting 1.4x 60's with the ole MT-82 on 275 MT radials. This isn't a dig, just thinking maybe clutch release may be a bit abrupt. I'm sure this thing will outrun its cert with more seat time.
@jgreen4323 when it was on a radial i tried a little. But i don't have a handbrake. I was using my line lock to hold the car in a pre loaded state. But not im on slicks it doesnt matter. Wheel speed is your friend and its so much easier to just slip and rip. Radials would be faster at the end of the day i just dont have the time to dial in the car on that setup. We have another race in about a week and we are putting in a faceplated transmission.
well fortunately ive never had a money shift like that. Not saying it cant happen. but a gated shifter is prohibited in a majority of the classes i run. the Faceplated trans will be a game changer for me though. @@Green_Streets
It was great seeing everyone at sick week! If you saw us along the way and we didnt get to say hi im sorry! Hope to see yall again soon!
Congrats on the PB! Getting home in one piece is the best part
That car is one good 60’ and a gear shift away from an 8 sec pass. Nice job keeping it together hustling through it!
lets get it done at NMRA!
Love seeing this kind of content! Car is such a neat built. Cool to see a turbo coyote with a stick shift going fast.
Love the drag and drive stuff. I can’t wait to go on my first one. But, going to be a year or two out if I’m completely honest.
Congrats on the new PB!

There is a tamer in it which is now set. So once we get a little more testing it should go 1.2 60
@@J-Whit have you tried preloading the driveline? Slipping the clutch while staging the car and using the hand brake to move into the beams.

@@J-Whit please get a gated shifter, I think Tick sells them. 1-2-1 or 1-2-3-2 is not a fun way to break a race car.
