This is coming from personal experience... Buy the bike you like, which you understand and are comfortable with. That will enhance the experience of owning and riding a bike. Or else you'll keep on knit picking the issues and think I should have bought the other one. Love you guys and lots of prayers to your family.

Solution is simple. No need to buy a bike. Ride your brother’s bike which he is taking along in any case. Since it is a motorhome trip you will save substantially on hotels etc by going with him. Don’t overthink. Go for it.
