Keeping in mind that all of Ylvis's videos were made to promote their TV talk show, it's surprising that they put out so many in English. However, their latest music videos are all in Norwegian, without subtitles, so they aren't as much fun for us English speakers. Still, very catchy tunes, with lots of humour. The story of their latest songs is so Ylvis - they challenged themselves to write a whole concert-worth of songs, make videos, and perform the concert in a very short period of time. This might explain why they wear the same costumes in all of them! Plus, their youngest brother is included in the group now, which is cool. He was introduced years ago in "I Will Never Be A Star", which showed how cute and talented he is.

They're putting high amount of pressure on YT monetization rules 🤣

I don't know how it is today, but for a while, TV Norge, the TV station that aired their show, brought their own sponsors to TH-cam. They weren't afraid of demonetization because they were part of this 3-way contract. Also being a big media company excludes you from the rules, how many music videos would be demonetized if it wasn't for their special deal with TH-cam.
Norway also is more lax about swearing and sex on TV, which means their own advertising deals expect this kind of content.

If this wasn't a part of a comedy show this tune could have been the dance floor hit of the decade! Daft Punk, eat your french hearts out.

@@imstankface Also the song "I Will Never Be A Star" which is about their third more unknown brother.
I feel like "Pressure" is a bit about making fun of a music genre and their music videos :D

It may be crossing a line in the US. But play top 40 and you will find loads that are much worse, except without comic or parodic intent. I think Ylvis point fingers at a lot of music and videos that are both sexist and pathetically unoriginal.:-)
