I noticed that the security check in area is divided into various 'zones'. Do you know what those zones exactly mean? I have a flight from Delhi to Chandigarh so does it matter what zone I go in during security check?
No absolutely not you get into any line or zone for security Checkin where you see less ppl in queue, though for airline staff you will be sign before only stating airline staff only , have a safe flight ✈️

Yes from Delhi airport only you can take metro and go to Connaught Place for shopping and many food options , then take metro to Saroji Nagar for shopping, then rest it all depends how do you plan to spend these 10 to 12 hrs but yes all these places have metro from Delhi airport so avoid taking cab or taxi
Once you land at T3 you have to collect your bags if you don’t have connecting flights , then go to departure counter area to drop your bags n collect your boarding pass , connecting flights traveller need not to exit the terminal 3
You have sign n board at T3 for travellers who are having international flight plus if you are not able to understand always ask anyone at airport employees who can always help you

Debit card accept hoga yah nai yeh aap Apne bank ke customer care se check kar sakte hein yah lounge par jakar try kar sakte h agar koi charge nai lagta h card par yah nai and bachon kaa sath le jaa skate hein koi charge nai lagega
