      A 90 degree pulse is a RF freq which tilts the msgnetization vector from z axis to x axis, where it can be detected by detector

    When Spin A transfers its magnetization to Spin B, how come Spin B is still aligned with the Z axis? what is transferred if the nuclei is already aligned in the Z axis from the magnetic field?

      What i'm guessing the power we set in the instrument can only tilt some of the spins in the first 90X pulse( DEPENDING ON THE POWER SET UP), whatever spin remains we use the second pulse to tilt( pardon my choice of vocabulary) them. Thats why when we actually do the experiments we keep playing with the power set up to find the right power(dB).....
