Hey jill! Im trying to find out how many stalks of broomcorn come in the “tips and tails” on the site? Trying to see how many bundles needed for a wedding broom like this

It's hard to say exactly how many "stalks" are in a 1/2 pound as weight varies with each stalk. If I wanted to do a wedding broom and I was using the tips and tails for the OUTSIDE of the broom only I'd say 2-1/2#'s would work.

Hey, Jill! What type of varnish do you recommend for the handles and the plaiting? These double headed brooms are Soo cool!

I think any kind of varnish will work. It just makes the grain in the handle jump and "seals the deal" on the braid so that it won't be coming undone anytime soon.
