Here we have for sale our Honda VF1000RF. This 1985 example has covered 24,596 miles and is supplied in the iconic Fighting Red, Shasta White and Candy Aleutian Blue paint scheme. It is supplied with the original owners maintenance manual, and a host of paperwork.
The bike was originally registered in Belgium and brought to the UK in December 2019 before being UK registered, it is supplied with a dating certificate from the Vintage Japanese Motorcycle club plus full documentation authenticating the bikes originality.
The Honda VF1000R is one of the original homologation specials and had three major model revisions. The first model which ran from the beginning of production in 1984 to April 1985 was coded the RE model. The second model, denoted with the RF suffix, was produced from 1985 to the end of the worldwide production in 1988. The RG model was the final model and was produced from 1986 through 1987
All in all, a welcome blast from the past ideal for those Sunny Sunday afternoons but also a great addition and investment piece for any serious collection. I really wanted one of these back in 1985 but they were so expensive, even now the bike looks special, back in 1985 it really was the best bike out there
FJ 1100 Yamaha for me, one of the best all round bikes of its time. I still have mine, riders stop and tell me what a great looking bike it still is.
A lovely bike to own. I recall EVERY SINGLE HEAD turning, when I rode mine. In honesty, it was a beautiful bike......but nothing special, by any means. Just like my RG500....or my GPZ,....A great bike for a time long gone. I miss it, but I miss Lana Walters as well....None were as good as we thought, at the time.
The absolute best part of bikes is making memories, glad you had such a good time with it!

I bought mine new 1986. they were big top heavy and weren't selling well. I drove it all over new England, then all over Florida. Had to let it go in 1991 due to survival issues. saddest decision I've ever made.
