No talking, just walking. Exploring the English Countryside. A nice gentle walk around the village of Castleton. I retrace my walk almost exactly from my previous walk through Castleton, It is my first walk with my new camera DJI Pocket 2 and it does not disappoint! Despite the incredible low light, I think the picture quality is great! When it comes to Christmas, Castleton is a place which really makes the effort! This was a joy to film!

Hi there, I‘m Dave! I've lived in the English Countryside all my life, and I love it! I enjoy walking, and couldn’t help but notice just how beautiful the UK can be away from the cities. I use the free version of Davinci Resolve 16 to do some really basic editing. Mainly making sure the sky isn't over exposed. It's from Camera straight to TH-cam. No cuts, no fancy business, no talking, just walking.

I grew up in a tiny, rural village in England. I used to go on night walks alone all the time. Everything was so quiet, still and peaceful that I felt like the only person in the world. This video takes me right back there.

I am an Indian and i think in your country or any country located in northern hemisphere nights are short during summer since until 10pm you have daylight so I think you people during summer can't enjoy long nights so during winter when nights are long and around 4.30pm only it becomes dark then it will be good for you people to walk in that dark night until you do not have fear of dark, until you do not feel or have any horror experience
@@McKlunkers we have sufficient and equal daylight during summer season, monsoon season and winter season on an average 12hrs day and 12hrs night throughout the year we have sufficient sunshine hours also through out the year since our country india is a hot tropical country

I used to live about 40 minutes away from Castleton , it was my favourite place to wander around summer and Christmas , I now live in Cornwall so a bit far to visit , so thank you so much for re-kindling some wonderful memories.

Thank you for your wonderful video! I love looking at the homes and little shops with lights glowing in the evening. Very magical and your little village is where christmas cards are pictured. Nice to see a church and manger scene as well!

If it wasn’t for the Christmas Lights, it could be a possible setting for a horror movie, lol. 😁 I love this area a lot from your videos.
You may like one of the videos I have coming up in a couple of weeks, although unintentional, it certainly has a horror movie feel to it.
I used to work at the Olde Nag's Head in Castleton in the seventies. It's a beautiful friendly village even in the dark. I would have lived there if I could afford it.
It mostly looks the way I remember it but if you'd been walking past the Olde Nag's Head in the seventies, you would have seen it lit up and all of the tables would have royal blue tablecloths laid up with silver and little candle lamps. These were the days when it was a proper hotel and restaurant. The whole of the street was lit up and busy in those days and nowhere is safe from the dumbing down now.

I worked in a village at the Olde Nag's Head in the seventies, its a beautiful friendly place even at night.
Looks great. Been thinking about getting the Pocket 2. I've got the Osmo pocket 1 which is also pretty good in low light but this is obviously better. Nice walk.
I've been blown away by how good this camera preforms! Never had the pocket1 so I don't know how much a step up it is, but If you can I certainly reckon it is worth it!

Haha, I'd be lying if I said I didn't at some point think about putting in a loud jump scare.. more so as my returning viewers would just not expect it! Fortunately I couldn't bring myself to do that to my loyal viewers and subscribers 😀 I don't think it would go down well at all haha. I can promise no jump scares in all my night time walks :)

The nearest station to Castleton is Hope Train Station which is 2½ miles to the East of Castleton :)
