It was harder for women to move around during periods due to lack of sanitary napkins/tampons, etc. That's why it was advised that women don't go to temples for the week. In today's time, it is much easier for women to move around. The "unpure" factor while on periods was added by religious leaders who always discriminated women. So in today's time, if women want to visit temple while on periods, they should! Because this tradition was for the medieval ages.

Guys it's not untouchability, its lack of knowledge and we get all wrong in, if you travel to explore you'll get access to limited knowledge and if you travel to know then you get knowledge, in many state it is celebrated as womanhood and fertility specifically in Odisha it is called Rajaswala In Assam there is whole ancient temple of Goddess Kamkhya and one of the Shakti peeth. Entire life begins in woman body and period are the sign of Womanhood, because creation of life is with pain so to respect this a woman is allowed to rest and kept in isolation so she shouldn't get disturb while resting. Last year When I started my journey to Tuljapur (tulja bhavani temple) by walk 130km this is the 1st time i walked for this much distance there are lots of obstacles on way and my legs also gave up unable to stand for 2 minutes but I didn't give up i continued the journey and successfully completed 🙏.

The pain, the uncomfortableness, the long journey nothing stops you when you are damn planned to reach your destination..... Oh i think you should start using menstrual cups while journey...... you are right during long ride i also feel the same problems, could not find any washrooms..... Govt. really need to look after this
