Going to Costa Rica for the first time. From all of the beaches, which one would be a good option for about 2-3 days with kids? Not so pricey beach but beautiful.
Great question Millisse! It depends on a lot of things but perhaps visiting Manual Antonio will give you many options in and around the area, especially if you are visiting in the off season!

If you want to wake up in your underwear 30 miles into the jungle in a shack with all your worldly possessions missing, visit Jaco and order a beer at the nearest bar. Jaco is a pretty seedy joint.

I agree! I'm researching to move there and I think I'd like the Caribbean side better but almost everything (actually, 100% everything) that I've seen over the last few weeks has been on the Pacific side. What were your favorite beaches or areas on the Caribbean side?
To move in and to visit are different things. To visit, Tortuguero, Cahuita or the Puerto Viejo area (Puerto Viejo, Gandoca Manzanillo, Cocles, Punta Uva). To live FOR ME on the Caribbean just around the Puerto Viejo Area.
@@CostaRicanVacations it's tiny but it has a great vibe ..it's only beach left with actual tico culture and not american...great for surfing !! i'm not a fan at all of long wide beaches..i prefer cozy coves / bays ! i hope you have a great time :)

You will hardly ever see any sharks from the beaches in Costa Rica. I have been here for 13 years and never seen them from the coast. If you are lucky as a diver you will be able to see a few small harmless White Tip Reef sharks off shore. It makes for an amazing experience, though they are mainly only found on the pacific side. There are a few other species found on the northern Caribean coast but no one travels here anyway to swim in the beaches near Tortuguero. I hope this helps! Adam

Why no carbine beaches? I have heard it is more dangerous because of Drug runners. Is that true? Is it more dangerous for any reason not just drugs? I have been to Tamarindo and Joco and loved them but I love the Carbine Water better than the Pacific.
@@montes27 De fijo, y creemos que los hotels saben donde estan las playas mas bonitos del pais. Playa Conchal, Playa Flamingo y los adentro del Parque National de Manuel Antonio son espectacular geograficamente. Pero claro como al final del video Playa Manzanillo en Puerto Viejo es muy bonito por cierto, igual que La Penca, aun un poco mas escondido.
Hola Jonathan! Haha si claro que notamos los playas en el Caribe. Por eso salen al final porque no hay playas buenas en el Caribe Norte en Tortuguero para nadar o relajar. Pero como nos dicemos al final cerca de Puerto Viejo hay Playa Cocles and Manzanillo que son muy lindos. Aun tal vez no tan populares como las otras 10 que hay en la lista!
Este video es totalmente pésimo, esas no son las mejores playas de costa Rica y yo no soy ni vivo en Costa Rica. La mejor playa hasta ahora que conozco de ese pais es Punta Uva tal como lo dice otra persona en su comentario. Ni una sola playa del caribe que son las mejores de costa rica pusieron en este video.. indignacion total

Creo que no se tomó en cuenta el caribe, Punta Uva, Playa Grande, Manzanillo, ahí están algunas de las playas más bellas de Costa Rica.

There are way more beautiful beaches than Jaco. Bahia Drake, Avellanas, Playa Negra, Puerto Viejo, Punta Uva, Playa Langosta.

No, Nosara is located between Tamarindo and Santa Teresa, easily a couple hours drive

Costa Rican Vacations esas son las playas donde hay grandes hoteles y comercio en Guanacaste. La Penca. Pan de Azúcar. Y el Caribe ni se diga.

Conchal en los últimos años se ha visto destruida por el comercio local, ha infestado la playa muy triste
Por lo visto los autores de este video no se dan cuenta de que Costa Rica tiene un lado caribeño también.
