I always gave this battle to surf 2-1 because he took the second and third but the fact I only come back to this battle 11 years later just to hear Shine’s first round says alot. That’s a legendary round and performance, might be one of those rare cases when one round can indeed win you a battle.

Shout out to 15 minutes of fame for that K Shine interview that sent me here. Now that I’m watching this old battle, I can say it was a smart thing when they eliminated hand held mics. It made a big difference
They were never supposed to have hand held mics this was the first event they threw at Webster hall at a venue that large they were unorganized like hell and had to get hand held mics at the last second lol
