We are going the week of October 6 for my daughter's fall break. It will be our first time back in 6 years! We love Halloween time at DLR and I am praying that Haunted Mansion Holiday is open by then. It won't be the same without it!
All the rumors indicate that will be the case. Of course rumors are just rumors, so anything can happen. But hopefully it will reopen with the start of Halloween.
i was at dl this past thursday and friday, and seen so many streamers and influencers- and i kept telling my husband, “where the heck is socal dad???” 😂
Great video! One thing I would suggest, I might have missed it so sorry if so, can you mention the day you are visiting. I know you have done it before, but it helps to get an idea what crowds are like on different days. Thanks for the all the work you do in making this videos!
Then it was newly added. As I checked every day several different times for different things. As I mentioned in the video, everything is subject to change because Disney changes things on a whim. I can’t ever be 100% accurate, because the day I filmed this, I was 100% accurate. And then before I even had a chance to edit it, I noticed a few firework schedule updates (the dates with projections actually appeared instead of saying “no nighttime events”). So it’s unfortunately just part of dealing with Disney’s ever changing schedule. But this gives as good of an idea as one could generally receive.
Hii! I really love watching your videos! I would love if you recorded rides 😅 not forcing. I'm going to Disneyland on either the 25-26 of June for my birthday! Super excited any advice?
I do put the rides in some of our vlog type videos. Here’s a playlist of videos we’ve done either about rides or feature out family riding rides: th-cam.com/play/PL_0Qje8SjlSBAFJiWRU4AvwKlG0tNPM9y.html I don’t really do POV videos of full ride throughs. The every ride in one day videos and the ride guide videos are probably the closest to showing that sort of thing.
Thank you for answering my question! I also am wondering we have little kids in our party and we were wondering what ride should they ride first to get them attributed to the rides and thrill rides?
Fantasyland is a great starting place for kids. Depending on the age of your kids, Chip and Dale’s Gadget Coaster is a great entry level coaster back in Toontown.
MAJOR rookie here! Can you guide us? We want to spend 1 day at Universal Studios and 2 days in Disneyland/California adventure. Best way to go about planning this? 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
That’s doable! You’d just need to book them as separate experiences. Find a hotel near Universal, I recommend the Hilton or Sheraton. They’re pricier, but the only two hotels within walking distance and with a free shuttle to the park. You’d then need to Uber to Disneyland. My favorite hotels are the Candy Cane Inn, Howard Johnson Anaheim, or the Anaheim Majestic Garden Hotel. Two of those have shuttles, and two are also within easy walking distance. The one that isn’t, does have a free shuttle. The best way to book for a hassle free, stress free experience is to call Get Away Today and tell them I sent you. You’ll get a package discount on top of their discounted hotel rates. Their deals may not line up with those hotels I mentioned above, but they’ll make sure you’re at a solid hotel within your budget and tell you the best way to get to the parks from wherever you stay. Be it walking, free shuttle, or fairly inexpensive ART bus. They’ll also answer all your questions on the phone. They’re really awesome with customer service. Their phone number is 1-855-GET-AWAY
@@crazypartyjumpersandeventr5049 They haven’t announced a date yet. But any dates you hear first will be for Orlando. Disneyland’s will be about 4 months after Orlando’s opens.
Hi traver! Quick question do you need to reserve a spot for fantasmic like you would for world of color? And if you do is it just like an online que? Thanks in advance!
Nope. It’s first come first served like the fireworks. Except for any reserved sections for dining package guests. There is no virtual queue for Fantasmic.
Yes, so long as it collapses to fit in a backpack. I’ve seen people with them. You can’t use them on rides though. You can, however, use a small mini tripod or handheld devices on rides so long as they don’t extend.
Weekends in July are pretty good. Saturdays in particular because all but the highest level of passholder is blocked out. For instance, we won’t be able to go because my wife and kids have the step below the highest. Others might be in the same scenario. Last year I went by myself on a Saturday and it was pretty great.
Are the parks crowded on Fathers Day? Also, if there is an after event at Disneyland, does that make Disneyland less crowded that day and DCA more crowded? Thanks for all your great videos and advice!
This video was filmed on a Disneyland Star Wars Nite. Not that I show the crowds a whole lot. But it did seem fairly low-key. And the DCA crowd update that came out on Wednesday was filmed the same day. Also a Star Wars Nite, so it was the park that didn’t close early. Also, the Disneyland crowd update I posted last week I think was ALSO on a Star Wars Nite. Just a week earlier. So you can check those two out if you haven’t seen them.
I super appreciate the information about the dinner packages for Fantasmic. But what about if you just want to watch the show without it. Do you need to be on some kind of que like the World of Color?? Or do you just have to find a spot and wait?? Need to know how that works
You just find a spot that's available to hang around. It will be clearly marked and cast members will direct people to where they can or can't stand. I'd show up an hour early at least. After Fantasmic you can move forward into the space previous occupied by the dining package guests for Fireworks. About half of those guests will remain where they were, but a good chunk will leave, too. Opening up space for you to fill in.
@@SoCalDisneyDad ok sounds good and I super appreciate it. Me and my wife are Magic Key holders for the first time and never seen Fantasmic so were looking forward to it
Off topic question. My husband and I are wanting to do something special for our 49th wedding anniversary but not spend a lot. We are wanting to do something huge for our 50th in 2025. Does Disneyland have any after hours in August? Thank you! You are amazing! ❤❤
Oogie Boogie Bash dates haven’t been announced yet, but if it follows the usual pattern of being the first Tuesday after the start of the Halloween season, it’ll be on August 27th. They’ll probably have another August 29th. But that would be it. Tickets usually go on sale in June.
Trying to decide on a 5-day Disneyland trip for either the week of Nov. 8th to 12th (the 12th is the Friday before Veteran's Day) or the week of Nov. 18th-22nd (the week before Thanksgiving week). I'm guessing Nov. 12 will be pretty busy with folks taking the long holiday weekend, but also wondered if the week before Thanksgiving also has drawbacks. Any thoughts or suggestions are greatly appreciated. Love your videos!
The week before Thanksgiving is the better option. Disneyland doesn’t start to get busy for Thanksgiving week until around Tuesday before Thanksgiving. So that week before should be solid. You are correct in avoiding Veterans Day.
I don’t believe they’ve available for booking right this minute. I’d check closer to when Fantasmic returns. I want to ride Rise of the Resistance but my family has small kids and we do not want to wait long. And we are also not wanting to pay for the individual lightning lane. What time should we go to the ride? Also thank you for all your advice!!!
There are two good times of day to check. The first is 9 AM, and the second is around 7 PM-8 PM. This is routinely when the attraction sees its lowest wait times. Anything 45 minutes or under is the target. A 45 minute wait is generally as low as it goes, but I have seen 30-35 minutes before. Keep in mind, the wait time posted until you step foot on the ride itself. There are 3 pre-shows for Rise and the first one starts about 20 minutes before you step foot on the ride vehicle. So a 45 minute wait is 25 minutes to the first pre-show and 45 minutes from the ride. The ride is 5 minutes long.
We rope dropped Rise (got to security maybe 7:25-30?) go to the left of the Walt+Mickey statue, pop straight into frontierland , past Thunder MTN, first entrance into galaxys Edge, hook a left at the droids and past Ronto roasters, don't stop!
