Mike Portnoy have recorded with A7X because their drummer died and he was a big fan of Portnoy, so I think this was natural reaction to accept A7X proposition. As far as all the records the Rev recorded vs. all the other Portnoy recorded, Portnoy has a far better fundamental understanding that most drummers, he's on another level in regards to A7X, and he helped make one of their best records at the same time. I'm both an A7X fan and a DT fan. What I have to say is, if he's happy here... we as his fans should support him as a musician where ever he goes. Not hate him for his personal decisions. Its a great thing he's doing for a7x. They lost a brother, but gained a new one. Somewhere up there... Jimmy "The Rev" is smiling. :)
