No Mama Yong does not need to go back to Korea, it’s obvious this woman had a very negative experience when she went back. It wasn’t tolerated being with someone outside your race back then especially a black man or woman. The gumbo looks fire but the shrimp & crab should be the very last protein added because it cooks fast and if overcooked the shrimps texture will be too tuff & the crab meat will shrink but hey each is own.

My mom, aunts, and grandmothers would also do the same, and that's coming from both black and white ethnic backgrounds, they all do. My mother taught me to wash all my clothes that i bought from the store before wearing them as she used to work in a clothes factory she said they would throw the fabrics on the floor, etc. And so now I'm consciously aware of these factors. 😊
