    Damn Terry. You've been buying some new production Colts lately. I guess you approve.

      Yeah I think their new revolvers are pretty cool. They did a good job on them

    I couldn't agree more on your statement about the 4.25" Anaconda being the best looking new production revolver offered to date. I would swear those were nickel finish instead of stainless. Colt really knocked it out of the park on their finish work on these two you have. I've always shyed away from Colt due to the cost. However the insane amount of money older Smith 29-2s are fetching may possibly mean it's ok to give the new Anaconda a look. Thanks for the video!

    This presentation inspired me take out and compare my 2021 Colt Anaconda, 1991 Colt Anaconda, and my S&W 50th Anniversary Model 29 all chambered in .44 Magnum
    I have a Python manufactured in the 1980’s which I purchased in the late 1990’s. I have been waiting for Colt to produce a New Python in blue to match my 1980’s Python and not they have. I will wait for the price to drop a little and I put together the $$s to purchased one. The current price is quite high.
    On the 2021 Anaconda I have installed nice wood grips with finger groves and inlay miniature full size gold rampant horse and round gold rampant horse madalion and these grips look AWESOME
    I might have to get a 4.25” Anaconda. My buddy prefers the 4.25. When started a cop he carried a 4.25” Python and prefers that size revolver. Although our ECD’s are 1911’s. He carries a full size government 5” and I carry a commander 4.25”
    On both on by Anacondas I have scopes. On the 1991 i have a Propoint red dot circa 1991 with Pachmyer rubber grips with finger Grover Circa 1991 and on the 2021 Anaconda 3-9X42 scope which I shoot at 100 yards.
    My grips on both Anaconda are the same shape as yours and I agree, they are the best feeling grips I have ever felt on a revolver
    Anyway another inspiring presentation
    FYI - all these revolver are in 6”

    I was thinking about a set of Altamont grips, but after seeing yours I chose not to because of the crappy fit and finish behind the trigger guard. At least they could made them fit a little tighter around the guard.

    Very interesting that Colt would craft a a 4.25” Anaconda which is the same specification as a 1911 commander

    Colt had the right idea with the original Anaconda, but they could never really get it right. The old Anaconda was hybrid of a scaled up King Cobra / Trooper with a Python style looking barrel. The quality was subpar, below average and not even close to what it should have been, even for the manufacturing technology of nearly 35 years ago. The 2021 Anaconda is a 1,000 times better gun in fit, finish, strength and trigger. Colt finally got the Anaconda right and there is no comparison between the old and the new. I have owned a 6 inch 2021 Anaconda since March 2021 and have no need for the 4,25" model, but everytime I see a 4.25" Anaconda I want one more and more. Someday temptation will win and I will trade off one of my other guns for this diamond......

    Currently trying to figure out which one I want, the 6 or 4 inch. How much kick does the 4 inch have as opposed to the 6 inch?

    • @TerryBenton
      @TerryBenton  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      To be honest they are about the same. It is such a heavy gun that it absorbs alot. It is still. 44 mag answer will have recoil but not as much as a smaller smith
