I knew them all except for the third one. I come from the land of down under, waltzing Matilda and we are one, we are Australian. They all sounded good
I am so impressed with your method of using a flute stand. I have just received my first one (along with a flute swabbing wand) and I believe these will be amazing for my practice! Flute!
I guessed Waltzing Mathilda even before you started to play. Number two by Men at Work? Was waiting for Tie Me Kangaroo Down, Sport. A great fan of The Seekers btw.
Yeah, I have a agree about Tie Me Kangaroo.... I think I heard it even before Waltzing Matilda (certainly learned the words first). TBF, it was on the radio a fair amount in the 60s.
Oddly, the very first tune that came to mind was the Aussie-styled Coke ad that was in the _Coca-Cola Kid_ (1985). I knew it wasn't going to be in the list, so it was an odd memory. Weird.
Hey Jane, this is fun, but... just to be accurate, The Horses is not an Australian tune, it was composed by Rickie Lee Jones and Walter Becker, but I agree Daryl Braithwaite did a fabulous cover version!
Ah, made my day to hear the “Down Under” flute line! Thank you
Glad you liked it! It's such a great tune! 😀

Nice work! The other one was The Horses sung by Daryl Braithwaite 😊

Such a lovely tone Jane. The Men At Work one is the subject of HUGE controversy. Look it up sometime if you don’t already know it
Haha yep! I remember when that lawsuit was in the news! 😝
1. Kookabura sits on the old gum tree. 2. Waltzing Matilda 3. Not sure 4. Men at work
Great guesses! 😀
The first one was actually Down Under by Men at Work, and the third one was Horses by Daryl Braithwaite.
