Sometimes it has to do with making sure the lighting is good as I sometimes have that problem too. The other thing is if you've pressed the "Audio based lip syncing" or not. That could work better or worse depending on your camera quality and if there's any background noise. I usually make sure that option is turned off (it's on the main header options, I think I covered it.) The other thing is just making sure you do the pose and lip syncing button (oof forgot the name) to line up with your face until it works. Sometimes takes some tries and can be frustrating I'll admit. Hope this helps! Lemme know if you have any questions~
Can you help me? I want to make the character eye roll but I'm having trouble using the left and right eye up/down calibration to accomplish this. I don't need it to be perfect, but I want it to be passable. Is this possible? Thanks.
I've never tried to do eye-rolling and am not sure if it's possible. You may need to research that. I know it'd be in the customization section of the avatar in the advanced settings mode. One piece of advice I can give is to make the "Look at camera" ratio low so that it tracks your own eye movements better and may work when rolling your own eyes. Sorry I couldn't be of more help ^^;
So sorry for the late reply. There is a way in Facerig to take screenshots and you can make videos as well. The voice changer would have to be a different program I think. What you do is press the icon next to the camera one on the top bar. That will start recording a video. Once you end the video, an option will appear to save it and it will open the window to save it to your computer.
Yep! The only difference with the Pro version is that you're required to get it if you make more than $500 a month using Facerig. So like if you use it for TH-cam or Twitch streams or videos or any other ways of profiting with it. Otherwise there is NOTHING different. So only get Pro if you're planning on using Facerig for primary income. Importing avatars is actually kinda difficult to do but definitely possible.
I did the same thing. My webcam is okay but sucks for showing my face. It works according to how well it can detect your eyes and mouth though so lighting still plays a part. But it doesn't have to be an excellent webcam. Just a good enough one should work. Not sure about the computer quality as mine is overkill lol. But it should let you know the min requirements for your computer on the steam page.
They recently released a news thing for Animaze and Facerig that I'm making a video on. I'll get that out today or tomorrow. But basically I suggest you get Facerig but you might wanna wait... Facerig is going on sale at the end of the month for half off and if you have Facerig when you get Animaze, you get benefits and half off of a year and a month of Animaze subscriptions. So do you use your built-in webcam or certain kind webcam for facerig. Why does people say you need a VR OSCULAS to do the avatar thing and one more thing is it just head mouth movement what u need to do body movement thanks
Any type of webcam should work :) Just keep in mind that lighting and how well the camera can read your face is crucial. Usually a program or your computer will have you choose which webcam you want to use and you can pick Facerig from the list. I haven't heard about using the Oculus with it but I assume it's another way to do it and catch body movement but I think you can track your hands with the webcam as well.

@@DOKOTV Oh okay well I showed how to do it in the video~ It's on the part of synchronizing the facial expressions and pose from the camera into Facerig.
Click their icon in the bottom corner and drag it up. A trashcan icon should appear. Just drag it into the trashcan and the character should disappear off-screen. Their icon will be grayed out and if you press it again, they'll reappear.
Hey, so i would rly like to buy this, but just saw a negative review about this messing up with your audio settings, even replacing something on windows 10. Did you encounter any audio problems when you installed facerig?
tldr; I never had problems with it. Make sure your audio isn't set to the "Facerig Virtual Audio". Use a separate mic and speaker source, don't use Facerig for that, only for visual. So I just did a quick search to see what may have been the problem. I myself didn't have issues when installing it but something to keep in mind is that Facerig installs an audio source on your computer called "Facerig Virtual Audio". Just make sure that any speakers or audio output is using your own audio and not this. I also recommend using a separate computer or webcam audio for recording and for speakers. I don't have experience with the Facerig audio source but I've found that people have a lot of problems with it. So basically as long as you have the "Broadcast" button in the top banner of Facerig turned on and use separate audio settings with whatever other software you're using (streaming, Skype, etc.), ensuring it isn't set to the Facerig audio, then it should work perfectly fine ^w^ I've never had issues with this program messing with my audio.
I believe so. I think what you do in that case is have facerig open and then when choosing a camera source to FaceTime with, choose the Facerig camera source. If you aren't seeing it, make sure that the broadcasting button is on in Facerig. Good luck :3
Hmm I've never heard of using the audio from Facerig but lemme think... In streamlab OBS, one of the audio options that are already created is for Facerig. Though nothing usually happens for me as my input is a webcam mic and my output speakers or headphones. What I'd suggest is to go to where the Facerig audio thing was made (in with the other audio options to the bottom right of the main program) and right click the name and then "properties". See if you can find any options there that help you out with sound. As I said I don't have experience with imputing sound through Facerig. Sorry. If that doesn't work, I suggest another microphone such as a webcam or other for a separate audio source. You probably will need a separate output such as the main computer audio. Hope this helps!
Some people allege that the software takes over your webcam and then you cannot use it in Zoom, Facebook Room, Skype or other video conference programs. Is this true?
I haven't heard of it doing that... Just make sure if you don't wanna use it that the program is closed when using Skype or whatever. But as far as I can tell, it hasn't done anything like that for me.
i try to stream on meetme with face rig...but its not capturing any sought of audio neither internal(my pc sounds) and external too i have mobile earphones idk its because of that or some internal error
I don't use audio with Facerig. I use it as only the Vishal webcam. I've never used MeetMe but if there is a way to set a separate mic then I'd do that. Then do Facerig as the video camera option. Idk how the Facerig audio output works honestly or if it even does.
I'd suggest using something else for sound. Facerig seems to really only work for visual. So if you use a streaming software or something like Skype, make the camera source as Facerig and the audio or mic source as whatever you can record with. Also your primary speakers or headphones should be used to hear. Basically just use Facerig for the webcam, not for audio.

Sorry I don't have a tutorial on it. For whatever reason Facerig's audio doesn't seem to work in the program. So just use another program for audio like OBS and choose your own mic as the input. Then just choose the camera as Facerig. If you're doing the voice effects I think just using it through OBS should still work. In that case just try different mics or make sure that OBS is capturing your desktop or headphone audio where you can hear it playing while doing it. Hope this helps!
So Facerig seems to have an issue with recording audio. What I do is select Facerig as the video or webcam of whatever program I'm using and set some other microphone as the audio source. You can use the same webcam for Facerig visual and the separate audio if you want, just don't try and record through Facerig's program or audio source. Hope this helps! Their new free successor called Animaze is coming out sometime... Hopefully they'll fix this audio issue. It's odd they have the audio source but that it does nothing lol.

Ctrl Shift Esc is a faster shortcut to task manager specifically, ctrl alt del is just kinda slower. No big deal obviously, just enjoy the added convenience.
I always got the game in the steam store for $ 15 bought but whenever I press launch there is no feedback and that always happens after countless restarts there is still no feedback what can I do ???
First off, try restarting your computer. A thing I do when that happens is ctrl+alt+del and get to the task manager. From there, look for the process called something like "steam bootstrap" or something that mentions steam. Then click End Task. Steam usually seems to be the thing that messes with Facerig launching so closing it in this way and then trying to launch again is what usually helps me. Sorry for the late reply but hope this helps ^w^

Hi, great video :-) I noticed your rig's mouth moves much more smoothly than mine. Mine is pretty damn jagged when I have audio sync on, and when I have it off then I really have to exaggerate mouth movements to get a response. Do you know how to fix this? And, could you please confirm my suspicion that you exaggerated your mouth movements in this video so they'd be picked up? They're so smooth!!
Glad you liked the video! :3 I definitely keep off audio sync as the smallest background noises might throw it off or it makes the wrong movements. Sometimes it's super fickle and takes a few times of calibrating the pose and lip syncing as I showed in the video. Gotta make sure your webcam has good enough lighting at least for the program to detect your face. You can see outlines around the eyes and mouth and such if it's working or sometimes the rig will still move. With more than one person it's a nightmare to the syncing right but does work. Lol if I did exaggerate it I can't remember xD and if so it would only be like maybe in the beginning? When I do tutorials I kinda go off the top of my head and I know I wouldn't have the concentration to enunciate too lol. In general when streaming and such it works pretty well but I have to keep synchronizing it and keep the lighting good. Hope that helps ^^
I believe you can but you gotta use a program like Live 2D cubism with the live 2D add-on. Not sure about 3D but I think so? If not with Facerig then with Animaze (their freemium new version of Facerig).
That's when you need to get centered on camera, stay still and do blank expression then press the button I show on the tutorial for resetting the calibration. May need to be done often.
There is an extension you can buy called Live2D where apparently you can do that. But from what I've seen it's kinda difficult. I recommend getting Animaze instead as it's Facerig's new software, it's freemium, and they have an editor you can get to create and edit your own models~ I'll be looking into it and doing a tutorial in the future :)
Unfortunately I don't. I tried doing the custom things and wasn't sure how to make it work. That's why I stick to only the default options they have. However, I know there is documentation online that tells you how to do additional things like add files. I wish I could be more help.
Oh my goodness I'm so late to replying to this I'm sorry... I'm actually not entirely sure. If I use a Logitech and it seems most would work. It appears to be as long as it's a webcam.
I have couple more questions. I got my facerig going and working. But say I record and do video clips well It shows video but I have no sound at all like my new laptop has great audio sound wise I tested everything make sure only when I record play clip no sound do I need, change something to hear it. And next question say I wanna stream it what's easiest stream app use. Can you change voices to on facerig thanks...
I answered the first question in your other comment. OBS or streamlabs OBS are definitely the most recommended streaming apps. Both let you easily set and mute audio sources and add Facerig as a webcam. Yep you're able to change voices. I never played around with it but it's the picture that looks like a megaphone if I'm not mistaken. I really need to make a Facerig FAQ video soon xD
I think I showed in the tutorial but... Use OBS or Streamlabs OBS (or any other with webcam use), make a video capture device source and choose "Facerig". Then I believe you right click on the webcam source and choose filters. Do +, chroma color, and make sure green is chosen. It should take away the background if you want that. Make sure you have the green screen background (or another background if you want) on Facerig and the "Broadcast" button has been pushed. Hope this helps :3
I'm just starting to use facerig but I have couple questions. Can u change your voices in the facerig and one other thing I be doing broadcasting can this be livestreamed in the facerig characters
I just checked to be sure and yes! You can change your voice :) I've actually never used this. But you need to press the UI+ button in the top right in the banner and it will then make the sidebar options appear. Then go to the icon that looks like a hand holding a microphone. From there you can change the pitch or audio effects and such. Have fun playing around with it~ I use Facerig to live stream all the time. Basically just use whatever streaming software and add your Facerig webcam in like you would add any other webcam. Hope this helps :3
You just set the video part as the Facerig camera and use a different audio. So you can use streamlabs obs or something and add a video capture source and find Facerig, setting a different mic. And then in video meeting sites, should be able to set those in settings.
so I just got facerig but it only shows my face on the entire screen.. there's no avatars, even when I click one, does anyone know what I did wrong? if I change my camera it says it doesn't recognize my face...
I have a question. My girlfriend uses Facerig but some games just lag in the live stream. (Only there) She plays herself without lags. What can be the reason? She has a gtx 1080 , 16gb Ram and a i7 8700k. Where's the bottleneck? I hope my english was ok :)
Does she use Facerig both while streaming and not? Live streaming in general uses a lot of cpu and internet which could cause lag. Gotta make sure the encoder settings are good for your computer as that can really lag a stream. Facerig does use a bit of cpu but I've never really noticed it being a major lag factor compared to other things it could be. Hope this helps :) And your English was just fine!

Nope! Facerig provides its own green screen, animated environments and an option to put your own background behind it right in the program. It does pretty well detecting just your face from a webcam.
Go into the advanced settings of your avatar to see what the "look at the camera" ratio is. If that doesn't help, just try resynchronizing to the head and eye movements
Apparently there was an app but it doesn't show up on my phone anymore and was a less superior version anyway. From what I can tell, you can somehow use your phone as a webcam to use with Facerig on a computer but it doesn't seem you can just do it on your phone. Be sure to do additional research if you really want to tho as I didn't find a solid yes or no to that question.
You got it through Steam right? Does it say anything about it updating? Is there a crash error code? Or as it's been a week, have you resolved the issue?
@@kadnysellout8928 Hmm not sure why it would crash each time. Just try the control panel thing I show in the video to stop the process of "steam bootstrapper" and try again. Try turning off and on again. Otherwise all I can think of is it being the memory on your computer being too low.
Put Facerig in streamlabs with the greenscreen background then on streamlabs, right click on the facerig source and go into filters. From here press the + button and select "Chroma Key" or something like that. Make sure green is selected and it should make the background transparent. You can adjust the strength in these settings.
Right. So what you do then is go into obs or whatever streaming software you're using, go to the facerig webcam source and right click. Select filters. Then do the + button to add a filter. Then select "Chroma Key". This should automatically select green but if not then there's a drop-down screen for it. You can then do the slider bars to adjust the similarity until it looks good. Then just apply your changes and you're good~ Just select this filter and press the - button if you ever want to take away the green screen.
Oof I didn't cover that? Well I'm not on the PC now but I believe it was something like going to one of the bottom corners where the characters were listed and either clicking their name and finding a trash can icon or click and dragging it to a trash can. Sorry for the late reply. Did you already figure it out? If one of those doesn't work, lemme know and I'll get on the program and see how I did it.
Oh you got it working? Awesome! I think if the character is grayed out after deleting you can instantly bring them back. It was something like that lol
Hi! This was a fun video, thank you for making it! But I do have a question and I hope I'll explain it well: There are some key bindings (I made sure to put the actions/expressions on keys that I wouldn't use while streaming/gaming) but for some reason if another app is main (I don't know how to explain this, but like clicking on it) and I press the keys, my avatar won't make what is supposed to do, E.G. Numpad3 she's supposed to wave. I reaaaally hope it makes sense what I am saying. Do you know how I can fix that? Cause if I am streaming and playing a game I don't want to ALT+SHIFT and click on Facerig so she can wave. Thank you!
Hmm I should really look into what custom actions the cat rig can do as I haven't even tried those lol. Don't worry I understood what you were trying to say perfectly! I looked it up and it seems that support didn't have an answer for this but one person had said that everything worked perfectly while in the Facerig window but outside of it there were some things that worked and maybe a potential workaround. Hi. Thank you for the video. How do you add a custom background. I have a room .OBJ that I created and would like to have the characters from FaceRig on green screen to appear on it.
Either you can use OBS, add filters, color key and it should auto detect and take out the green and you can add the picture or webcam thing under it. Or on Facerig itself, make sure advanced options are selected (the UI+ button on the header bar). Go to environments > custom background picture, > customization > backdrop > Custom 2D backdrop. Then use the file explorer to find your background image. You may need to place this in the facerig "Textures" folder but I'm not sure about that. Hope this helps :3

No problem! Make sure your lighting is good. If it's too bright or dark then it won't synchronize very well. And then just keep a straight face and click that synchronize button (sorry forgot the name of it but I mentioned it in the video). Sometimes you need to synchronize a couple times to make it look good. Hope this helps!
I bought this program to have fun with my mates but after the first menu whenever I pressed Launch it said Facerig Cannot launch. I tried many fixes but nothing freakin changed. So, I guess RIP my 15 €

You definitely need a webcam of some sort for Facerig to pick up your blinking, head movement and talking/ expressions. Though sometimes when my lighting is bad on the webcam, I'll leave Facerig on just with the idle animation. Not as cool though lol

You can customize colors and such but yeah to make custom avatars is possible but very complicated. You gotta be able to make models and such and I guess linking every part to motion detection is very precise. Unfortunately I'm not sure how to do it but may look deeper into it one day as it'd be pretty awesome.
There are ways to make your own custom characters but I think the live3D addition is easier as main Facerig is 3D. Still I can do some research and see if I can figure it out for myself. I'll see if I can make a tutorial on how to make custom characters in the future as quite a few have asked about this actually :)

I'm so glad it helped you :D unfortunately I'm not very familiar with how bandicam works but if it has any way to connect a webcam to it then it should work. Just make sure that on facerig, the "Broadcast" button is active and then on your camera source in bandicam or whatever else, just manually change the camera it chooses to use to the "Facerig virtual camera". I hope this helps :) if bandicam doesn't work with a camera source, I do very much suggest obs or Streamlabs obs for screen recording and facerig, even if you don't stream.
i saw someone using this on omegle when you TH-camr found someone using it and the youtuber was conused on what the other guy was using i was to so i searched up amine cam and found this also thanks for tutorial i just bought it from steam

Ugh sorry got busy. I'd have to check my settings to know for sure but off the top of my head I think it was like 1tb hd with 252 gb ssd, 32 gb of memory, amd with a Radeon graphics card, windows 10 pro. Again I'd have to get back to you with the exact stats but I know it's pretty much that.
They can be used for TH-cam videos if you use an external software such as obs to use facerig with the greenscreen background. You can then remove the greenscreen and use it in front of anything you want.

Any type of webcam should work :) Just keep in mind that lighting and how well the camera can read your face is crucial. Usually a program or your computer will have you choose which webcam you want to use and you can pick Facerig from the list.
I haven't heard about using the Oculus with it but I assume it's another way to do it and catch body movement but I think you can track your hands with the webcam as well.

How do you remove the second person if you accidentally added them?
Click their icon in the bottom corner and drag it up. A trashcan icon should appear. Just drag it into the trashcan and the character should disappear off-screen. Their icon will be grayed out and if you press it again, they'll reappear.
Hey, so i would rly like to buy this, but just saw a negative review about this messing up with your audio settings, even replacing something on windows 10. Did you encounter any audio problems when you installed facerig?
tldr; I never had problems with it. Make sure your audio isn't set to the "Facerig Virtual Audio". Use a separate mic and speaker source, don't use Facerig for that, only for visual.
So I just did a quick search to see what may have been the problem. I myself didn't have issues when installing it but something to keep in mind is that Facerig installs an audio source on your computer called "Facerig Virtual Audio". Just make sure that any speakers or audio output is using your own audio and not this. I also recommend using a separate computer or webcam audio for recording and for speakers. I don't have experience with the Facerig audio source but I've found that people have a lot of problems with it. So basically as long as you have the "Broadcast" button in the top banner of Facerig turned on and use separate audio settings with whatever other software you're using (streaming, Skype, etc.), ensuring it isn't set to the Facerig audio, then it should work perfectly fine ^w^ I've never had issues with this program messing with my audio.

I believe so. I think what you do in that case is have facerig open and then when choosing a camera source to FaceTime with, choose the Facerig camera source. If you aren't seeing it, make sure that the broadcasting button is on in Facerig. Good luck :3

Hmm I've never heard of using the audio from Facerig but lemme think...
In streamlab OBS, one of the audio options that are already created is for Facerig. Though nothing usually happens for me as my input is a webcam mic and my output speakers or headphones. What I'd suggest is to go to where the Facerig audio thing was made (in with the other audio options to the bottom right of the main program) and right click the name and then "properties". See if you can find any options there that help you out with sound. As I said I don't have experience with imputing sound through Facerig. Sorry. If that doesn't work, I suggest another microphone such as a webcam or other for a separate audio source. You probably will need a separate output such as the main computer audio. Hope this helps!

Some people allege that the software takes over your webcam and then you cannot use it in Zoom, Facebook Room, Skype or other video conference programs. Is this true?
I haven't heard of it doing that... Just make sure if you don't wanna use it that the program is closed when using Skype or whatever. But as far as I can tell, it hasn't done anything like that for me.

I don't use audio with Facerig. I use it as only the Vishal webcam. I've never used MeetMe but if there is a way to set a separate mic then I'd do that. Then do Facerig as the video camera option. Idk how the Facerig audio output works honestly or if it even does.

I'd suggest using something else for sound. Facerig seems to really only work for visual. So if you use a streaming software or something like Skype, make the camera source as Facerig and the audio or mic source as whatever you can record with. Also your primary speakers or headphones should be used to hear. Basically just use Facerig for the webcam, not for audio.

Sorry I don't have a tutorial on it. For whatever reason Facerig's audio doesn't seem to work in the program. So just use another program for audio like OBS and choose your own mic as the input. Then just choose the camera as Facerig. If you're doing the voice effects I think just using it through OBS should still work. In that case just try different mics or make sure that OBS is capturing your desktop or headphone audio where you can hear it playing while doing it. Hope this helps!

So Facerig seems to have an issue with recording audio. What I do is select Facerig as the video or webcam of whatever program I'm using and set some other microphone as the audio source. You can use the same webcam for Facerig visual and the separate audio if you want, just don't try and record through Facerig's program or audio source. Hope this helps!
Their new free successor called Animaze is coming out sometime... Hopefully they'll fix this audio issue. It's odd they have the audio source but that it does nothing lol.

Ctrl Shift Esc is a faster shortcut to task manager specifically, ctrl alt del is just kinda slower. No big deal obviously, just enjoy the added convenience.

First off, try restarting your computer. A thing I do when that happens is ctrl+alt+del and get to the task manager. From there, look for the process called something like "steam bootstrap" or something that mentions steam. Then click End Task. Steam usually seems to be the thing that messes with Facerig launching so closing it in this way and then trying to launch again is what usually helps me. Sorry for the late reply but hope this helps ^w^

I noticed your rig's mouth moves much more smoothly than mine. Mine is pretty damn jagged when I have audio sync on, and when I have it off then I really have to exaggerate mouth movements to get a response.
Do you know how to fix this? And, could you please confirm my suspicion that you exaggerated your mouth movements in this video so they'd be picked up? They're so smooth!!

I definitely keep off audio sync as the smallest background noises might throw it off or it makes the wrong movements.
Sometimes it's super fickle and takes a few times of calibrating the pose and lip syncing as I showed in the video. Gotta make sure your webcam has good enough lighting at least for the program to detect your face. You can see outlines around the eyes and mouth and such if it's working or sometimes the rig will still move. With more than one person it's a nightmare to the syncing right but does work.
Lol if I did exaggerate it I can't remember xD and if so it would only be like maybe in the beginning? When I do tutorials I kinda go off the top of my head and I know I wouldn't have the concentration to enunciate too lol. In general when streaming and such it works pretty well but I have to keep synchronizing it and keep the lighting good. Hope that helps ^^

I believe you can but you gotta use a program like Live 2D cubism with the live 2D add-on. Not sure about 3D but I think so? If not with Facerig then with Animaze (their freemium new version of Facerig).

That's when you need to get centered on camera, stay still and do blank expression then press the button I show on the tutorial for resetting the calibration. May need to be done often.
Can you upload a 2D Face image and FaceRig it like you were doing with the cat and the webcam?
There is an extension you can buy called Live2D where apparently you can do that. But from what I've seen it's kinda difficult. I recommend getting Animaze instead as it's Facerig's new software, it's freemium, and they have an editor you can get to create and edit your own models~ I'll be looking into it and doing a tutorial in the future :)

I answered the first question in your other comment. OBS or streamlabs OBS are definitely the most recommended streaming apps. Both let you easily set and mute audio sources and add Facerig as a webcam.

I think I showed in the tutorial but... Use OBS or Streamlabs OBS (or any other with webcam use), make a video capture device source and choose "Facerig". Then I believe you right click on the webcam source and choose filters. Do +, chroma color, and make sure green is chosen. It should take away the background if you want that. Make sure you have the green screen background (or another background if you want) on Facerig and the "Broadcast" button has been pushed. Hope this helps :3

I just checked to be sure and yes! You can change your voice :) I've actually never used this. But you need to press the UI+ button in the top right in the banner and it will then make the sidebar options appear. Then go to the icon that looks like a hand holding a microphone. From there you can change the pitch or audio effects and such. Have fun playing around with it~
I use Facerig to live stream all the time. Basically just use whatever streaming software and add your Facerig webcam in like you would add any other webcam. Hope this helps :3

You just set the video part as the Facerig camera and use a different audio. So you can use streamlabs obs or something and add a video capture source and find Facerig, setting a different mic. And then in video meeting sites, should be able to set those in settings.

My girlfriend uses Facerig but some games just lag in the live stream. (Only there) She plays herself without lags. What can be the reason? She has a gtx 1080 , 16gb Ram and a i7 8700k. Where's the bottleneck? I hope my english was ok :)
Does she use Facerig both while streaming and not?
Live streaming in general uses a lot of cpu and internet which could cause lag. Gotta make sure the encoder settings are good for your computer as that can really lag a stream. Facerig does use a bit of cpu but I've never really noticed it being a major lag factor compared to other things it could be.

Yes. If I use Facerig without OBS then everything runs smoothly. Then I go live on Twitch and it Delays. But not every game. If it is not the CPU then it can only be due to too little RAM. Thank you :)

Nope! Facerig provides its own green screen, animated environments and an option to put your own background behind it right in the program. It does pretty well detecting just your face from a webcam.

Go into the advanced settings of your avatar to see what the "look at the camera" ratio is. If that doesn't help, just try resynchronizing to the head and eye movements
Is it possible to use your phone for facerig
Apparently there was an app but it doesn't show up on my phone anymore and was a less superior version anyway. From what I can tell, you can somehow use your phone as a webcam to use with Facerig on a computer but it doesn't seem you can just do it on your phone. Be sure to do additional research if you really want to tho as I didn't find a solid yes or no to that question.

@@kadnysellout8928 Hmm not sure why it would crash each time. Just try the control panel thing I show in the video to stop the process of "steam bootstrapper" and try again. Try turning off and on again. Otherwise all I can think of is it being the memory on your computer being too low.
How do you show only avatar on streamlab without background/environments ?
Put Facerig in streamlabs with the greenscreen background then on streamlabs, right click on the facerig source and go into filters. From here press the + button and select "Chroma Key" or something like that. Make sure green is selected and it should make the background transparent. You can adjust the strength in these settings.

Right. So what you do then is go into obs or whatever streaming software you're using, go to the facerig webcam source and right click. Select filters. Then do the + button to add a filter. Then select "Chroma Key". This should automatically select green but if not then there's a drop-down screen for it. You can then do the slider bars to adjust the similarity until it looks good. Then just apply your changes and you're good~
Just select this filter and press the - button if you ever want to take away the green screen.

Oof I didn't cover that? Well I'm not on the PC now but I believe it was something like going to one of the bottom corners where the characters were listed and either clicking their name and finding a trash can icon or click and dragging it to a trash can.

Hi! This was a fun video, thank you for making it! But I do have a question and I hope I'll explain it well: There are some key bindings (I made sure to put the actions/expressions on keys that I wouldn't use while streaming/gaming) but for some reason if another app is main (I don't know how to explain this, but like clicking on it) and I press the keys, my avatar won't make what is supposed to do, E.G. Numpad3 she's supposed to wave. I reaaaally hope it makes sense what I am saying. Do you know how I can fix that? Cause if I am streaming and playing a game I don't want to ALT+SHIFT and click on Facerig so she can wave.

Hmm I should really look into what custom actions the cat rig can do as I haven't even tried those lol. Don't worry I understood what you were trying to say perfectly! I looked it up and it seems that support didn't have an answer for this but one person had said that everything worked perfectly while in the Facerig window but outside of it there were some things that worked and maybe a potential workaround. Hi. Thank you for the video. How do you add a custom background. I have a room .OBJ that I created and would like to have the characters from FaceRig on green screen to appear on it.
Either you can use OBS, add filters, color key and it should auto detect and take out the green and you can add the picture or webcam thing under it. Or on Facerig itself, make sure advanced options are selected (the UI+ button on the header bar). Go to environments > custom background picture, > customization > backdrop > Custom 2D backdrop. Then use the file explorer to find your background image. You may need to place this in the facerig "Textures" folder but I'm not sure about that. Hope this helps :3

No problem! Make sure your lighting is good. If it's too bright or dark then it won't synchronize very well. And then just keep a straight face and click that synchronize button (sorry forgot the name of it but I mentioned it in the video). Sometimes you need to synchronize a couple times to make it look good. Hope this helps!

I bought this program to have fun with my mates but after the first menu whenever I pressed Launch it said Facerig Cannot launch. I tried many fixes but nothing freakin changed. So, I guess RIP my 15 €

You definitely need a webcam of some sort for Facerig to pick up your blinking, head movement and talking/ expressions. Though sometimes when my lighting is bad on the webcam, I'll leave Facerig on just with the idle animation. Not as cool though lol

You can customize colors and such but yeah to make custom avatars is possible but very complicated. You gotta be able to make models and such and I guess linking every part to motion detection is very precise. Unfortunately I'm not sure how to do it but may look deeper into it one day as it'd be pretty awesome.

There are ways to make your own custom characters but I think the live3D addition is easier as main Facerig is 3D. Still I can do some research and see if I can figure it out for myself. Just make sure that on facerig, the "Broadcast" button is active and then on your camera source in bandicam or whatever else, just manually change the camera it chooses to use to the "Facerig virtual camera". I hope this helps :) if bandicam doesn't work with a camera source, I do very much suggest obs or Streamlabs obs for screen recording and facerig, even if you don't stream.

Ugh sorry got busy. I'd have to check my settings to know for sure but off the top of my head I think it was like 1tb hd with 252 gb ssd, 32 gb of memory, amd with a Radeon graphics card, windows 10 pro. Again I'd have to get back to you with the exact stats but I know it's pretty much that.

They can be used for TH-cam videos if you use an external software such as obs to use facerig with the greenscreen background. You can then remove the greenscreen and use it in front of anything you want.
