sometimes judges cant turn because there is a rule in the voice that you cant turn anymore if your team is full.., maybe that is the one reason i see..

You can say he is too good for The Voice, but without The Voice we might not even have heard his voice at all. The Voice has given him a lot of confidence and he has developed a lot.
He said this before the blind audition:
«I made the flower top I’m wearing inspired by a picture my great-grandmother had painted for me and as a christening gift. I think it is important to remove rules for what you can wear and look, because it is just an expression and you feel yourself what is right for you. I have lacked love for myself because I was bullied in the past which made me feel I couldn't be myself. Three years ago, I had a spiritual experience that started a process where I tried to understand more and gained more faith in myself, because I lacked that before. Now I dare to be myself, to go dressed in what I feel like going with. I dare to express myself as I want to express myself. I feel more masculine today than I did then, while at the same time recognizing the feminine in me. It is a challenge to go on stage, but I imagine that my great-grandmother is with me on stage. She showed me so much love and was always very open and understanding and has given me a lot of security, so I will carry her with me on stage.»
The outfits Lavrans wears on stage are specially designed and the ideas comes to him by intuition. He is spiritual which gives him the confidence to carry out the performances, he says. I hadn't been able to do it before, because then I would have been too afraid of what others thought. Now I know that everything has a meaning, that everything happens for a reason. Without the spiritual side of me, I would have had too many thoughts and fears, and thus stopped me from doing it.
What he wears when he performs «Stay» is obviously inspired by The Greek god Apollo (of archery, dance and music)? He has the same cape, hairstyle, leafs in his hair…
About his performance of the song «The ballet girl»:
«Grandma heard it on the radio a long time ago and she said it reminded her of me. She sent me this song and said she thought it would fit my voice, and then I realized when I read the lyrics that it was deeper than I first thought and then I felt that I must perform it live.
His outfit in that performance: He has 2 swans on his chest because he sings about a ballerina. Ballerinas are gliding across the stage just like a swan is gliding majestically across the ocean. Swans are graceful, just like a ballerina is elegant. The song is about a young woman who uses ballet as a form of escape and self-expression. The lyrics paint a picture of a girl who is burdened by familial struggles and a challenging upbringing, yet finds solace and empowerment through her love for dance. Despite facing adversity and objectification, she embodies beauty and grace on stage, showcasing her inner strength and resilience. Btw the winner will get a record deal with Universal music and if he doesnt win (Inger Lise is also a big favorite), surely someone must have seen what a talent and a complete package he is. Its not that usual to be a complete artist after so little experience and only a few performances like this. Usually you have those who has great voices or has the x-factor. He has it all, allready.

Well said 👏 Jarle is really a great mentor for him…. Lavrans isnt just another great singer, he has it all, even an eye for estetics and stage outfits and stage performances. Its insane how this guy has only been singing in the shower and in front of the mirror by himself, because he didnt want to bother other people with his singing.

About attention and hate
It was not long ago that Lavrans started to sing again after a long time. He hardly even sang for himself. Now one video of the 22-year-old has gone viral, and has been seen by 6.7 million people.
Sometimes people ask me if I find it uncomfortable to go viral. I don't think it's unpleasant to be seen. In a way, I have nothing to hide. The most important thing for me is that people feel that I reach them.
Have you always been tough in what you do?
- Yes, I want to say that. In a way. I am confident in myself, I know where I come from. But I also have barriers and fears. I think a lot of that comes from my childhood and youth. And the painful feeling that I am not enough, it tests me. But I try to replace it with love.
- Have you gotten a lot of hate?
- I have not experienced any hatred. I was prepared for a lot. But nothing that I have seen. Just lots of love... So, wow!
Are you worried that all the attention will go to your head?
- It is important to be aware of that. But I'm not too worried. For me, this is not because I want to be famous, I want to touch people.
- But, of course, you shouldn't ignore that it can happen, and you should be open to the fact that it could happen to you.
For Lavrans, it is almost a bit surreal:
He has always loved to sing, but he rarely did. He didnt want to bpther anyone with his singing. He has few appearances on his resume prior to The Voice.
Now he feels that he is developing more than ever.
- Now that I have understood what the lyrics are about, it became very strong for me. Now I don't just sing along to the melodies, as I did before.
Then my voice also gets to relax, says Lavrans.
When you engage your emotions, your muscles relax. The tones become prettier, something special happens. I can do things with my voice now that I couldn't just a short time ago.

There is this husky vibes in his voice that gives me chills. He just keeps on getting better after each performance.
Its crazy how he just improves in every way by every performance he does. You can see he gets more and more secure and comfortable on stage.
Jarle should have a lot of credit, not just for letting him always be himself, but guide him and being a great mentor. I dont think he could have gotten a better mentor for him.
I saw a clip of him singing at an opening of a small exhibition (an intimate setting) just months before The Voice, and it seemed he lacked confidence in himself and his voice and shook his head during the performance and looked insecure, as if he felt he wasnt good enough.

When you see several of the other auditions and who they turned for in comparison, I think either they didnt have any spots left or they wanted Jarle to have him (weird as it sounds), cause they thought Jarle would be the best fit for him. I know he pushed late.

It makes no sense they wouldnt turn for him because they thought he wasnt good enough. You could hear after only a few seconds what potential his voice had. Ina constantly says that she is in love with him and Espen always brings Lavrans name up when the host asks who impressed them the most in every performance, except their own contestants.
