I'm happy for you because when you own a land and a house in Ghana it totally belongs to you no property tax and all that nonsense the Wester Governments are doing.
They tried influencing our Country to introduce properly tax but they failed .

I've been researching the process of getting land in Ghana for months, but finally stumbled across your video today! Thus is exactly what I needed to see and where I need to stay to get a feel for the village. I found you on air bnb and will be booking within the next few weeks. The yellow fever vaccinvis my only holdup. Do you have any suggestions? I'm in Virginia and getting no help here.

@kojo: you're kidding right? Ghana and Europe are all complicit in the slave trade. Europeans profited from it. Likewise ghanaians! This is our own atonement and reparation. The land is mainly for our brothers whose parents and great great grand parents were sold into slavery by ghanaians and bought by Europeans. So go get your land somewhere ok? Ekow can I also own a piece of land if I'm a Ghanaian but have lived in the USA for many years ?
Though the question was directed to Ekow I guess I can provide what I've understood about the project. From my understanding, a percentage of the land is also reserved for Ghanaians so as to encourage the development of a culturally integrated community, so I believe it would apply to you also. Don't take my word for it though.

Free Land? You can only own land for 50 years for foreigners and 99 years for Ghanaians Born in Ghana, so as a foreigner, what happens to my property after 50 years is up?
Nothing happens…it is yours forever…As a Ghanaian I have never heard any land was taken away from someone after the lease is up.
All that I will tell you is don’t mess with any government land and you will be okay.
Even when you pay to re-lease the land again it is something very very small.
It's for ever yours no one takes anyone house in Ghana after lease expires, you just pay a token to descendants of the Land period
