@@JdjdbNdjdb I don't really know, why you're so into the word "remaster". What eriqur have done is seriously an excellent job. This sounds much more powerful than the original record. Just say thank you and enjoy. Don't be a foll, please. Thx
The 1990s were the most powerful era in the history of metal music, the 1980s were but a prelude to what was coming in these years, it won't ever be repeated, from Florida to Finland, or even in Greece, the amount of unbelievable talent, musical prowess and the sheer magnificence were beyond extreme. Norway was at the very top of the league, the bands that came from there in this decade will forever be among the greatest ever, the Nordic scene was out of this world, it will outlive us all.
Great summary of those glorious years as you say. Sometimes I really miss old times as a young boy going to get new metal stuff and meet my metal friends also and spend time talking about new bands or new albums. Now all this is lost on time.
Fun fact: This band broke into several pieces but still carry on the torch of their former band (well sort of). Arild Kristensen (guitarist) created Rainarea, Ola Aarestad (bassist) and Anders Thue (pianist) created Savn (with Liv Kristine's sister Carmine Elise as vocalist) and Stig Johansen (drummer) created Morke.
@@ugurcngloglu6502 Sorry I didn't know what happened to Glen, only that they broke up because Anita was tired of touring, saying something about the band's activity took all her free time away.
Theatre of Tragedy, Tristania, The Sins of Thy Beloved... the good ol' days of Norwegian Gothic metal! (And why did they all start with the letter T?) Thanks for the remastered upload!
Thank you really much for that upload and your work. This sounds much more powerful and balanced than the original record. I just discovered sins of thy beloved months ago. I listened to ToT since their first record bur The sins passed by. Really greatful for the "new" discovery =)
I think this is one of my favorite all time records, and I wish it was on vinyl so so badly. It's just iconic of a sound to me. Like the perfect alchemy.
@@Anton_Sh. I personally have some bias on the "strength" of gothic music, and "until the dark" and "lake of sorrow“ are both typical A level for sure as epic music, but not as strong as "my love". Personally I can't find a song combines apocalypse and vengeful sorrow so perfectly as the ending of 'My Love' (S-level for sure) yet. It's even perfect as BGM for detailed destruction of a planet, but not with any other song created by TSTB.
My Love 09:31 The Kiss 18:27 Worthy of You 25:45 Lake of Sorrow 32:51 Until the Dark 39:31 All Alone 46:43 Silent Pain
Somehow it's sad, somehow this is acceptable. Musicians evolve, and always want to create new atmospheres and soundscapes. Better to have those two essencial albums, than have 6-7 which are getting worse and worse, desperately trying to copy the first successful ones... But thats only my opinion, as a musician and sound engineer :)
tremenda banda lo escuche a los 13 años en chile y me encanto en mi periodo dark y ahora a los 34 los sigo escuchando. hacer una version con oboe estoy disponible.
Thank you for doing that man. What d'you think of the band Draconian? Fun fact: the violonist of Sins was also playing violin for Tristania, and both bands were all friends from Norway. Those years were the prime of goth metal. Before everyone jumped into the easy symphonic pop metal wagon. Theire's only Draconian holding the torch now. And even then they're a hybrid band mixing doom with goth. Not a single band alive that does the goth metal of the 90'.
This sounds exactly like the original CD pressing, I can't feel the "remaster" on my sound setup. Regardless, thank you for the upload of this fantastic classic.
No sé en qué año vino TSTB ( 2000?) a CDMX en el Teatro Ferrocarrilero pero fui excesivamente feliz escuchando y agitando el cabello con todo este album. Cuando era joven al igual que mis sueños por una mujer.
even though its High quality one, better than other yt films, i still feel this bad quality in audio, idk.. its soo annoying because i have very good headphones on both devices, and audio in example of this band in all cases is not satisfying :/
Do not expect too much, this bands studio records were very good, but it is the good engineering. The live performance of the vocalists and the sound which the guitar players set their equipment is... not so good. The only professional is the violin player imho. I wanted to make this video more enjoyable, since it is the only available official live performance of the band. But I am not a wizard or something like that :)
Excellent remastering, the power of the guitars is impressive, thanks good job
Thank you sir!
its not remastered, you cant just "remaster" a cd and call it that you need the actual original mix tapes.

Шикарная группа. Я в полном восторге
So touching, so dark, so sad, so tragic, so deadly, so beautiful music of The Sins of thy Beloved
yess i think so
Real so Real
The music is good, and the girl's vocals too, but grover's voice kind of throws it off. Still decent to listen to, though.

Yeah. They are good but the best. You may be right
Must admit the first song "my love" is dominantly the single best song ever created by this band.
