Outside of Springsteen and the E Street Band, there is no one and I mean ABSOLUTELY no one who comes close to the J. Geils Band in concert. It's simply that they always leave it all on the stage night after night after night! Jann Wenner editor of Rolling Stone magazine and big part of the ROCK AND ROLL Hall Of Fame selection process explain to the people how this band has not been inducted ! These guys blow away all comers when it comes to performing Live.

I forgetting how much this music influenced my life ... until i saw Wolf solo and he opened with sanctuary!!! Needless to say , i lost my marbles !!! And was instantly 16 yrs old & out of control !!! Its amazing how certain sounds can erase every problem you can possibly have !!!!
    Missing J.Giels for real 😢!!!!!

79 Blues...could not have said it better. I saw J.Geils first time when I was 12 my older bros took me. Oh about 1971 or 72. I was hooked. Went on to work with record companies. I saw many bands after all over. No one besides J.Geils and Bruce put on the show that is all out. I went on to see J.Geils perform all over the country. Great showmen & great musicians. I still go see them. Going to see Peter solo soon. He is an artist. thx 4 posting.

I was at This Show. Got on a Bus in Medford to Sullivan Square then took the Orange line to North Station. There was nothing, and I Mean Nothing like A J. Geils Show in the 70s at The Old Boston Gahden. Throw in some Mescaline and You had it made. I miss those days. Mostly the Mescaline. 😂

Nothin like a House Party at The Old Boston Gahden. I was at This Show. I still have the Cork from the Magnum of Champagne that Peter Wolf popped on stage. I was sitting like 20 rows back on the floor and here it comes. Will never forget that night. Cork hit the floor. Me and everyone else dove for it. I got My Ass kicked but came away with that cork. Still have it with My Don Law ticket stub. My ears are still ringing too. Loudest concert ever. By Far.

Little Walter only dreamed of making this much harp sound in a building this huge - Mr Dick Salwitz was just as piercing w Blues Time, as of 2004 - and used that tone at times to play like a Crescent City cornettist from the day. MD is unlike anyone else out there. and today there's a lot - he arrived on the scene so soon after Butterfield, Oscher, Blind Owl, Musselwhite, Siegel
