I was doing that but I had to walk away. I still care for them. He is an avoidant attachment style and he did not show up and shut me out. He was not making me a priority but said he wanted forever and had deep feelings. I pointed out that his words and actions were not matching up. I told him I needed to step back so I would not be hurt anymore.
