  • The largest jungle on our planet, the Amazon, is in danger of drying out. If we lose just 5% more to deforestation, it may never be the same again.

I wonder how many more videos it'll take until people finally realise what we are currently doing to our planet. We may live good lives for now (at least parts of the population) but our actions of today affect our lives of tomorrow and tomorrow will get even worse if we don't stop it now.
    Again, a great video!

@@tomw6947 I respect your opinion, friend. But because of this logic, the Sahara desert belongs to everyone. the Swiss Alps belong to everyone. Even the land where you live belongs to everyone. because everything was already here before civilizations. So why only Brazil has to pay for the rest of the world that spent 200 years polluting the planet? your idea is ridiculous. Amazonia belongs to Brazilians. And we make it what we want.

Because trees are being chopped down.
Additionally, developing countries feel that developed countries for centuries cut down forests, drained swamps, damed rivers, irrigated deserts, etc. they should be permitted the same consideration. Even when the developed counties realized mistakes were made and are trying to keep developing countries from repeating them.
Developing countries don't want aide because the come with strings. When the US gives aid they want recipient countries to vote with US in the UN and publicly support rhe US in military, economic, social, etc. matters.
Once you're used to the money which isn't free because of those aforementioned strings it's hard to stop taking rhe cash.
