    Supported Pompey 51 years this is a kick in the teeth
    Scummers looking at increasing capacity at St Mary's to 38.000
    Einsners giving us a tarted up 22.000 capacity
    Gutted

    I'm slightly disappointed the projected capacity will only be about 20,000 but on the other hand just a few years ago Pompey were in danger of going out of existence and we've come a long way since then so this new development is very much appreciated. Those people complaining about the design need to understand only a new stadium in a different location would produce what they want. There's not the space at Fratton Park.

    Would like to see the gaps between the stands closed. That would create more atmosphere like QPR.

    Eisners promised A 30.000 plus capacity
    This is 22.000 max
    Eisner family and Tornante are worth 3.5 billion
    Won't get fooled again

      Completely agree I think they've got a very slow plan to increase it to 30k but don't like them never did just looking at michael eisner the first time as pompey manager he just look like a tight arse don't like him and hopefully he sells up soon doesn't invest much even though he's a billionaire

    Looks decent enough - need to look at significantly boosting the overall capacity next after these works are complete - hopefully a promotion is coming soon!!

    So when is my lad going to get his season card activated? His season ticket card has not worked all season and we are having excuse after excuse as to why this is so. We have to either spend the best part of an hour on the phone to the ticket office before each home match, or get to the ground early and queue up. It is now nearly December and still his card is not working.

    Looks the same, massive pillars in the way, was hoping for much better when the eisners came but I guess atleast we are staying at fratton

    Would supporters be against moving to let's say Bournemouth or Brighton for a season to get the stadium done in one go?

    • @MrRQBQ
      @MrRQBQ 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Don't think that would be necessary. Even with a reduced capacity Fratton Park would still be able to accommodate more spectators than they could at Bournemouth.

    Portsmouth FC should try again on the design

  • @mattstone5789
    @mattstone5789 2 ปีที่แล้ว +4

    Underwhelmed. Still the pillars in the way. Be a nice ground in league one! No progress on the pitch. No desire to get promoted! Don’t think the Eisner get what promotion is as it doesn’t happen in American sport!

    Ugly update for our iconic home

    • @peterlovell
      @peterlovell 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I do see where you are coming from, but I feel we needed this, can't build big remember network rail link that is needed, too much health and safety both inside and around the stadium, stops this in today's PC world. So feel this is better than half the stadium shut, too many years of neglect means urgent works are needed.

    • @jamescook4302
      @jamescook4302 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@peterlovell I hear you. We do need to address the HS inside and out. I suppose the bit that gets on my goat is the triangle. I know we have to update the existing stadium but choose a better design than that. Make it squarer. Less ugly

    • @peterlovell
      @peterlovell 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@jamescook4302 too be truthful that was my first thought when I saw this too. But I'm 46 and remember the real tough times at Fratton Park, I believe these onwers are in it for the long time, my reasons are they ain't splashing cash but are making sure the club grow properly as a business. Seen too many owners with rich pockets walk away after bankrupting the club. If we ever get back to premier League then I could see another rebuild. But for now it's sensible and kinda cheap in today's stadium costs. Don't be the hare in the toritist race. 👍 Chasing the dream doesn't always work, just ask Derby fans right now.

      @@peterlovell I am 49 And started going when I was 6. It needed much work back then. The old Fratton end was beyond repair. Even the south stand was bad. The north stand is heading that way.
