Tan Chong only care to make profit off their customers. First off, this car increased in price almost RM30k even though its just a minor facelift for no apparent reason. Secondly the spare part price by TCM is absurd in the range of BMW and Merc, not in the range of Toyota or even Honda, let alone Proton or Perodua. Thirdly the reliability of this car is truly unacceptable. You can hear people owning it for 1 year plus having problems which we only hear 10 year car owner will bitch about. I have 2 friend owning it for 3 years, both already spoil aircond compressor (1 friend twice!), steering rack, absorber and ABS issue. Seriously what the hell. Some parts apparently supplied by Tan Chong! and not original Nissan like what sold in Indonesia for example. Talk about making a profit from you twice. Nissan Serena is a good car, but killed by Tan Chong motor in Malaysia.
Honestly, this is really family friendly car. Features and size are good. It is only downside is ownership experience. Ask the owners who owned over 3 years. Another thing is this is not hybrid, it cannot ve driven in EV mode. It is more to motor assist for extra power only. For me hybrid is where you have 2 different propulsion system that can operate individually or simultaneously. Driven before and drive was pleasant though.

Bullshit la responsive.Their cvt freeplay is so free,if u press, u see rpm shoots up immediately but kmh increasing ever so slowly .Thats y their cvt gearbox is hellmade and problematic.Go on and add any nissan malaysia group and see.Just bcoz they gv u test car,u dont have to butter them up la .
Yes. The review is like bodek TC. A lot of complaints from owner. Their parts are damn expensive. Just go to Nissan malaysia page & read all the comments la @wapcar
Hi Adrian @wapcar, just a question on the audio system... If i put on youtube videos will that terus project to the back screen monitor as well? Or i do i still need to modify the back screen monitor (incur additional cost) to get it setup? Thanks 👍

this car sells just because and only because it doesn't have any direct competitor, not a single one in malaysia
wonder why nissan had bad 2ndhand value.... some of mechanic said repairing/changing parts on nissan had to do more work compare to others
