Welcome to The Movie Palace, a new series where we watch movies. Some good, some bad, and give you our commentary and feedback as filmmakers ourselves. This episode we are watching a family friendly treason film. “National Treasure” starring Nicholas Cage.
In this episode some of us are drinking the "The Declaration of Gin Dependence":
Ingredients:
2 oz Gin
1/2 oz Honey syrup (equal parts honey and hot water, stirred to dissolve)
3/4 oz Fresh lemon juice
2 oz Tonic water
3 oz Mango Nectar
Ice cubes
Lemon wheel, for garnish
Instructions:
In a shaker, combine the gin, honey syrup, and fresh lemon juice.
Add ice to the shaker and shake the mixture well to chill the ingredients.
Strain the mixture into a highball glass filled with ice.
Top the drink with tonic water and gently stir to combine.
Garnish with a lemon wheel on the rim of the glass.
Optional: You can also add a few juniper berries for an extra burst of gin flavor.
