They tried different chute sizes to establish the glide angle of Jean Loic Albert with the wingsuit. As far as I remember, the glide ratio was about 1:3 at about 145km/h.
Good stuff. Looks like a Salto sailplane to me. Interesting he needed full airbrake / spoiler AND drogue chute to establish the steep glide angle needed to match the skydiver. Very nice formation work. Great photo angles. :-D
the wing suit falls at a much faster rate then the glider... or else all you would of seen was the looking out the glider and then a blur would streak bye. Amazing video

Nope it's in Gap-Tallard somewhere in the french alps . It's the heaven on earth for glider pilots. at 1:52 you can see the runway and you can compage in google earth: 44°27'24.23"N 6° 2'22.95"E

Have you ever heard of Hang Gliding? Paragliding? They are almost as close, yet cheaper and less deadly than wingsuit flying.

what's the reason of having a chute in the tail of th glider? reduce its velocity to adapt it tho that of the man??
