- We dust of the hardline dust ad head back to Morzine for one of the wettest summers the Alps and most of Europe has seen in a long time! We get amongst it and bang some Pleney main line wet laps!
Its a good time and good practice if we have another race like Les Gets!

its not tear offs.. Its a roll that unrolls off one side and rolls back in the other

@@madeiradriftin4429 course he would say that, I watched it twice to check and he doesn't bend down and pick it up, plenty of other people noticed too. I'm a massive fan of Bernard's but I also have to pick up plenty of litter at my home trails aswell
No the roll offs run out. You see him pull them off!
You don't see him throw them away but at the same time you don't see him pocket them.
I believe he did pocket them just because he's a stand out dude and if you watch all of his previous content you'll realise he isn't that type of guy.

pleney laps are the best 🤩
When u look out of the window the rain sucks but once ur on the bike and your clothes are soaked, it is so much fun. Also have been in Morzine for last two weeks, it was so muddy last week. Pleney DH was so rough at the end of the week. We were also testing lower WC section in Les Gets on friday. That you got down there weeks ago in much more worse conditions is just amazing!

Went to Les Gets for the UCI downhill, damp. Live near Nice in the South of France. Its crazy with the rain in the north. Want to go to Livigno and Lenzehide at the end of the month. hope the weather gets better.
(65 year old E biker who does not go crazy as a fall takes to long to recover from)

@@matrixracing8268 these guys run all kinds of "race components" that sacrifice longevity for speed (open bearings, under-lubrication, etc).
on a regular bike low pressure water is not a concern these days.
what is a concern is contaminating rivers and other stuffs w/ truly nasty chemicals such as ptfe, synthetic oils, etc, for no good reason: just bad habits and laziness.
theres a bike jet wash just around the corner. if you turn right out of your front door and go up the hill a little bit its behind a garage looking thing on the left and costs a euro. its probably 150ft from the marmotte :)
i pitty the trail maintenance team after that. Liked the whip to move a branch off the track, that was pro

One question? What’s your wheel setup for that type of riding? 2.5 ASSE.. F / 2.5 DHR R? And are you running soft or hard donuts? I’m always in a bad place in wet rainy muddy rides, so the ask. Thanks!
Your shock and brakes are working harder than his. More heat drys faster. Maybe different rebound so your compensating with more brakes making both work harder

Trail maintenance and lift crews told me it was the worst weather they’ve seen in Morzine in like 7 or 8 years…
Except from braking bumps that are the side of craters, tracks were still sooooo good!!!

What’s that giant box/screen thingy on the dash with the Google maps showing? Seems a bit big 💪
maybe a little rainex on the gopro lens? dunno if thats just an American thinng but its a spray that makes water just slide off (used on car windshields). Could work well!

if you guys are studying* the degradation rate of synthetic polymers in nature, conducting the tests in controlled conditions would certainly offer more reliable results.

It's the summer of fires and smoky sky for most people. I would think it would ruin the trails riding in these conditions.

Idea: gloves with silicone squeegee molded into side of the index fingers for wiping the cam.
I had snowboard gloves with a squeegee on the thumb 20+ years ago! it was for wiping goggles and It kinda worked...
i dont know how tf you guys clearing some of these gaps, half the jumps in super morzine and especialy the blues there are almost unclearable without having to sprint before every takeo off

Littering is bad we need to protect the environment it is important, i'm a local ( from france ) when i see people do this it angers me so much especially if they are guests to our country please do better!
I am not hating on you you are a great rider great guy ( saw you in morzine this summer ) but please we have to deal with the consequences.

The way of cleaning your bike is maybe not the best in terms of ecology and respect of the river (greases and oils). Sorry to be boring but as a figure of MTB you should show a good example.
