    Just wanted to say thanks for all your videos. You gave me so many resources during my application period and I am proud to say that I am now an apprentice for my local 1105. Thanks again

    You should do a video on tools you need & give like a budget option, a best bang for your buck & the best brand option for that tool

    It is an impressive little battery, but you should know that it has some draw backs that Anker needs to iron out. For example it can not AC and DC charge at the same time. Also you cannot output 240 power if you are A/C charging. Good video btw.

    Hey nice review.
    I got the unit with the home power panel and been waiting for someone to test how the system works as a whole.. With a grid tied solar integrated..

      Thanks! Right on! I’m hoping to get the solar panels for it sooner than later. I want to try that out for myself too and see how well it does. It’s pretty cool that it can charge faster on solar than on AC power. At this point I’m looking forward to the next power outage so I can use it 😂

      Me too. But I am also putting on solar in a couple months and want to see how the whole integration works.
      Since u re an electrician u may know this: in a non-outage situation, the solix with the home power panel, can (supposedly) feed into the main load center thru the breaker and help u *not* consume power from the grid at night.
      What I dont understand is how does it know how much to output and stop feeding back to the grid...??
      I asked anker support and after me saying : "is it through the transformers?", they said yes...
      So is it that thru the xformers/induction will sense how much u re using and output as much so that it offsets ?
      Sorry for this long post.

    I see a couple of flaws with this device. First, it can't be charged from an inverter gas generator while in use for 240 volt ac. I would want to be able to charge the Solix F3800 from my Champion dual fuel inverter generator while in use in a grid down situation. That is the problem I already have with my 2 Delta Pro power stations. I bought them before I knew they couldn't be charged when being used in 240 volt mode. The second flaw in the Solix F3800 is that 60 volt limit on the Solar input. I know there are two inverters, but they both are limited to 60 volts dc each. All power stations of this size need to be at least 150 volt for the solar input, so you can series your solar panels.

    For the most important loads of my house.It's thirteen thousand two hundred watts at two twenty and two forty volts not including split air conditioner heaters which would be more.

    Hey! Really liked the review style for this video. I'm not sure if this is the right place to ask, but I was curious about something when starting an apprenticeship. I heard that you do get paid for on-the-job training, but I wasn't sure if just starting out that would be enough to live off of. I'm a fairly frugal person, so honestly even a low wage starting out should be completely fine for me. I've had a lot of trouble finding answers to some of these questions:
    What was the relative starting wage you had when first starting your IBEW apprenticeship? Was it minimum wage or greater? What about work hours? 40 a week? Less? Love your videos, they've made me really consider being an electrician, I'm just worried about the financial part of things starting out. Thanks!

    My home currently has a transfer switch with a 50 amp inlet, can I plug this Anker directly into that amp inlet even though it puts out 25 amp?

    How many watts were you pulling when it quit?

  • @acefire4050
    @acefire4050 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

    So if you're willing to cook something with your kitchen oven expect about one hour ten minutes to power use your microwave expect About 4 hours of power. You're supposed to open about 4 hours of power.
    Use your refrigerator freezer TV lights.
    Split air conditioner heater or something like that. Figure about 4 hours of power, that's it.
    But if you use your water heater that is forty eight hundred watts figure one and a half hours except it doesn't run continuously so about three hours. And there's one neck and a digit before. Even that 1 didn't get that zendor and it is expensive.
    It has 1 22 40 and it started it the first.
    Special, especially whenever he's talking about 1 22 40 this year. Then there was talking about it the beginning of last year. In 2022 And came out with it January 1st of 2023.

    Looks like you only have this powering your house for a full day in the event that you loose power from the grid. Tell me please, how having their solar charging system would have made this better. And how long would you have been able to go without power.

    Can you charge it while it’s providing back up power to your home?

    So how much does it take in solar? And does the batteries take solar as well? Or does it all have to be up to the main unit to take solar? And would it covered each and every day to fill up all the batteries? In like 6 and a 1/2 hours.
    Worst case scenario.
    Base case scenario 9 hours 12 hours.

  • @acefire4050
    @acefire4050 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

    So you want your oven hooked up to it, so you have 1 hour of power.
    Of course.That's when you actually use it but that's besides the point.

    Hey Stephen, do you need a car to be an apprentice?

    • @MadElectrician
      @MadElectrician  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Hey Will! Thanks for reaching out!
      As an apprentice you’re likely to travel to multiple job sites throughout your apprenticeship. You’ll need a reliable way to get around. You don’t need to go out and buy an expensive super nice car, but just something that can get you from point A - B will do 👍🏼
