  • In January I picked up the Vulcan Omnipro 220 multi-process welder from Harbor Freight. After hearing from friends who own the Omnipro 220, I was positive the Vulcan would fit all of my needs.

    Thanks for the great vid and intro to the welder and a cart that actually fits it. Found it hilarious that you built the cart with the side rail on the left side (looking from the front) and then later in the video the side rail is inexplicably on the right side. Of course it's because if you put it on the left you can't open the Omnipro spool access door. But that was a silent/sneaky little switch I'll bet most people missed.

      LOL To be honest, I don’t even recall that. I had to go back and rewatch it 😂. Good catch!

    thanks for sharing your video. I just bought the Omnipro 220 today and looking forward to building a popup camper for my truck in aluminum and an off-road trailer. Love your idea on the craftsman table for converting for welding.

    Can you tig with 120v and how thick

    Have you tried it on 120v at all?
    I've only got 120v in my solar powered shed. It actually does really well with .95 and .120 tube for a crosskart chassis.
    Though to be fair, the programmed settings are a little off. Not a big deal.
    Shameless shoutout to Kyle's channel for getting me into it-

    I question the 90 day warranty. will the welder last as long as the payments? Seems like a good quality machine would have at least a 1 year warranty without having to buy more time. Is there a problem with durability and build quality so they only give a 90 day warranty to cut their return/replacement costs? They don't appear to have much faith in their product. Just curious.

    Did it come with that spool of wire too or was that not included?

      That was one thing I did forget to mention. I did not come with any wire.

    If this is for Hobbyists what is for professional? I ask as a person who has never welded and wants to know more about welding machines.

      For a professional that is going to be running their machine all day everyday you want usually a larger machine with a higher duty cycle. They will typically be a 480 machine instead of 220.

      For a Hobbyist, I was referring to this machine is budget friendly and multiprocess, doing each task pretty good. Someone doing this full time would typically run a single process machine with a higher duty cycle, from someone like Miller or Lincoln. For me though, this is the best bang for your buck I think.

    As soon as I saw you welding on a TABLE SAW I QUIT WATCHING! Sorry, I respect my table saw more than that....

      Lol I literally addressed this at 07:25. I have a SawStop (off camera) for my main table saw. This is a $100 marketplace craftsman table saw that I bought specifically to make a cast iron welding workbench out of.

    • @adv_mnd
      @adv_mnd  ปีที่แล้ว

      I would never weld on my SawStop
