A great example of why tango is called the 'vertical expression of a horizontal desire'.

Piazzola , porqué te fuiste, fuiste un auténtico genio para expresar la realidad en un tango. Lo escuchas y no necesitas letra, lo entiendes todo. Y hasta se te escapa una que otra lágrima.

At least the camera work doesn't make you dizzy. It stays in position without bobbing around too much, allowing the dancers motion to come across.

I just read an article, meant to critique "Frauen Lieben und Leben" by Schumann. The Author gave me the impression do be a latter day feminist,. This couple shows clearly how a woman dances with a man as a woman.. I wonder why dancing is not faced with feminism. I think because the beauty of communal life is that a man or a woman is irreplaceable, thus maintaining all the dignity of their role. Her beautiful dress, and motions with those impossible shoes.. the man, static less sinuous as if her central column. Dance! and Ragazzi.. all'Italianita' di questo video Pietrodarchi, stupendo, esemplare esecuizone, particolarmente Piazzolliana.. The video we saw was meant to portray two professional dancers and to represent them in the best possible way. So why hire an amateur camera crew? Can't the producer see that the viewer, rather than concentrate on the dancers, has to correct his vision in order to follow the dancers because the camera can't keep them framed in the center of the screen? This is a disservice to the dancers.

Los músicos excepcionales. Bien bailado. Lo Jean Paul debería saber es que eso colorado que tiene en la camisa blanca se llama corbata, y que un hombre debe de respetarla usándola como corresponde. Una corbata no es cualquier cosa, tampoco es para cualquiera.

Als ich tanzen gelernt habe, hat der Mann sein Jackett vor dem ersten Schritt zugeknöpft! Man tanzte nicht so. 😒
Auch ich kenne das mit dem zugeknöpften Jackett; aber das hier ist Tango Argentino, dazu noch Nuevo, also eine recht moderne Art, da ist man sehr viel freier als im "klassischen Ballroom" !!
Das ist nicht miteinander vergleichbar, absolut nicht, weder vom Stil noch von der Art des Tanzes oder wie dieser aufgebaut wird. Hier wird jeder Schritt und sogar jede Zierbewegung der Dame einzeln geführt, wenn es sein muss, während es im klassischen Ballroom immer nur ganze Abfolgen gibt.
Darüber hinaus resultiert Tango argentino aus einem Tanz unter Männern, da Frauen damals der zutritt zu den Kneipen, wo das entstand, verboten war. Daher kommt es, dass man im TA auch immer etwas vom Machtkampf innerhalb eines Stierkampfes wiederfindet, mal deutlicher, mal nur ganz vage angedeutet.
Ich könnte noch Stunden erzählen, aber vermutlich bist Du dazu viel zu engstirnig.
Und wenn Du schon die alten Regeln erwähnst, dann hatte der Herr sein Jackett bereits zugeknöpft zu haben, noch bevor er die Dame überhaupt aufforderte, und nicht erst vorm ersten Tanzschritt !

Ach, liebe Johanna! das hatte auch ich damals gelernt, dass man die Jacke zuknöpft, und über den loosen Schlipsknoten wäre auch noch zu reden, aber das war im letzten Jahrhundert!!
